Posted 7 Sep 2017 I need to connect a analog amplifier with the analog input 0-10V on my Siemens 1200 PLC (located inside the same cabinet as plc, about 40 cm between). do i need a shelded cable? or just RK0,75mm2? do i use any special color on 0-10V? Posted 26 Sep 2017 I wouldn't think it was necessary to use shielded cable for that length unless there is a great deal of High voltage 3 phase or such right on top of it. Most Companies use BLUE for DC+ wiring some also use it for the negative side but many use grey. I wouldn't use black outside of a shielded cable because alot of companies use black for H1 [incoming L1 from outside the panel to the breakers and such]. Posted 17 Dec 2017 (edited) If you don't use screening you can always twist the two cables tightly together. It helps minimise pickup. Obviously not as good as full screening though. Edited 17 Dec 2017 by whyme Clarrification
Posted 19 Dec 2017 I am sure you get away with not using shielded wiring. But why???
