What instruction to be used in controlling variable frequency drive(VFD)

Hi guys, Im a newbie in plc. I have a Emerson Commander SK VFD, I want to control it and change the speed using CJ2M plc. What should be the command instruction to be use and also how to configure the communication between this VFD and plc. Thank you in advance.

My plc ip address is 192.168.250.3 and how can I communicate the vfd using ethernet port.  What instruction on the plc should I need to use to send start and stop signal to the vfd including also editing the speed.

yes Master Jay it suppot ethernet, Im using EMERSON Commander SK Drive .75kw

I remember using an Emerson some time ago. It had an RJ45 connection that was not Ethernet. It was RS485 (serial).

That being said, I do believe they have an snap-on module that will support Ethernet using the EtherNet/IP protocol. Do you have this module?

You will need to give us more information for us to help you. If the VFD is not configured at this point then we may not be able to help unless one of the other forum members have used this drive with Ethernet.
