CJ1M CPU23 with SCU41-V1

7 posts in this topic

Hi Everyone,

I have a CJ1M CPU23 with SCU41-V1. I installed new application with Datalogic Camera VS2 to read barcode. So VS2 send serial data(barcode data) to SCU41 then executed in RXDU(255) instruction to proceed the data to dedicated DM15200. From DM15200 then the data is compare and displayed in HMI Proface GP-4501TW.

This application had been succeed,(CPU already receive data, compare the data and display data to HMI), until I unplug Omron Programming Cable CN226.. When i unplug the CN266, HMI can't display the barcode data, after some time(around 10 minutes), Bit 1518.4(Overrun Error Flag) is ON.

Then i plug the CN226 cable, go to program mode, restart the SCU module from PLC IO Table CX Programmer. after this barcode reading data display on HMI was OK. Then i unplug CN266 cable a few seconds and barcode reading display was stop(value 0). When i plug the CN266 again, barcode reading was OK again.

After some time I test, I close CX Programmer application without unplug the CN226 from my laptop, the result was OK.

I suspect that this is power issues in the CPU, but why it was only disturb the Serial Communication via SCU? All the IO was normal.. The machine was running fine.

Another question, when I unplug CN266 for around 10 minutes, Flag 1518.4 is ON, so VS2 must be send data, but the Data never move from buffer memory to D15200..

I attached my Port 2 setting and RXDU program to this link: https://we.tl/cpo1HcyzLB

Thank You Everyone

Please post the wiring from VS2 to Port 2.  I suspect signal ground issues.

Your wiring is correct,  I don't know why you are having problems with CN226.
