Hello, can anyone recommend a good HMI panel that supports Modbus TCP/IP? My application has a local Beijer HMI panel that talks modbus TCP/IP to an Motorola ACE3600. And looking for other local HMI panel options.

Red Lion G3 series (and probably Graphite too) support Modbus TCP/IP.  We have 2 systems that each have a G310 that's passing information between a ControlLogix PLC and 2 Eurotherm temperature controllers.  The Eurotherms are Modbus, the ControLogix PLCs are Ethernet/IP.

An industrial panel PC with HMI software is an option that gives you flexibility. If the hardware fails, then you have the option of replacing with another vendor's panel while using the same HMI software application. If you find the software lacks the capabilities you need, you can use another vendor's software on the same panel (e.g ScadaBR, RapidSCADA, PeakHMI, Cimplicity, WinCC, Indusoft, Citect, Wonderware, etc.). With it running Windows, you are open to many options such as loading VNC (or TeamViewer) and remotely controlling it. Or you could even go to the extent of installing a database server directly on the panel.

This is one such panel developed for AdvancedHMI software (which supports Modbus), but is not strictly limited to running AdvancedHMI:

Our TPD and VPD series Touchpads have the ability to communicate to Modbus TCP slave devices.  We offer models from 2.8" to 7" touchscreens.  the configuration software is free to use.  They also provide Scaling, virtual tags which can be used for mathematical or logic function and the ability to use ladder logic for simple control features.

For Modbus TCP communication, please be sure to select a model which has an Ethernet port.
