DL06 and ECOM100 Networking Using TCP/IP

2 posts in this topic

Need info on methods to enable communications with an Automation Direct DL06 and ECOM100 using TCP/IP over an enterprise network. ECOM100 and the PLC only support com to slave plc's on the local Ethernet network. The plc DirectSoft programming does not provide commands for external communications through the ECOM100. There are (Host) software libraries available to enable setting of the IP address of the ECOM100 and enable read/write of V memory but no commands exist to push data out of the plc or directly initiate com using TCP.

I thought I saw a question if the ECOM100 supported Modbus TCP but I can't find it. It does, both as server and client. The ECOM manual has data and examples in chapter 5.
