Posted 20 Jan 2017 Trying to setup devicenet 1756-DNB to F800 mits drive. Have the eds file, everything seems to go ok but the module comes up in error 77 for that node. Is changing an eds file something that is normally done when setting these up?
Posted 20 Jan 2017 Error 77 is due to an I/O size mismatch between the scanner and the F800. IF you can determine what the I/O assembly used by the F800 uses, you can edit the I/O structure in the configuration for the F800 in the scanner's configuration setup. This has to be done without the F800 being mapped. Remember that DeviceNet makes heavy use of the term 'bytes' when referring to I/O counts & structures. 1 person likes this
Posted 21 Jan 2017 Yes, thanks for the reply. I got it sorted out, in the drive I needed to set the number of bytes I wanted to send to the devicenet card. I was trying to read 8 points, but the drives default was 4 with instance 71/21.
