IEC Developer Cross Reference Report

5 posts in this topic

I've never really used the print option on IEC Developer much, but I would like to print out a cross reference report to show me what variables have been used and where they have been used.

Obviously I'd print this to a PDF file,  but try as I might, I've never yet been able to get a cross reference report out of the "somewhat confusing" printer options menu.

Has anyone ever managed to do this?

Thanks,

Colin

Yes, No problem . First Have you set the compiler to be able to create cross reference?

Yes, I use the "Browse" utility a lot as some of these programmes have in excess of 35,000 steps and the I'm getting close to running out of M coils etc.

Just can't seem to work out how to print the cross reference. I used to do it a lot with old DOS Medoc, but have never been able to figure it out from IEC Developer (7.04)

Thanks.

As far as I mremember just select cross reference in the scope and then set the Cross reference settings.

Save the profile. Load the profile and then print

Ah, solved it. I wasn't saving the profile, and when I tried to, I was waiting for it to prompt me for a profile name.

The trick is to write the profile name in the text box BEFORE you save it.

Many thanks for your help, that's going to be useful now.

Colin
