NA HMI Troubleshooting Screen for NJ COntrollewr

9 posts in this topic

Starting new NJ project using the NA HMI Touchscreen having previously used the NS HMI.

The NS had a pre-built screens for  NJ troubleshooting that allowed quick and easy setup, monitoring status and fault resets of an NJ controller using simple built in multi-function selections.

Are similar functions available with the NA touchscreen application?

If YES where can these be found.

You just create a button, then set an event that opens the troubleshooter and point it at the NJ name as shown below:

It's also in the built-in system menus, bottom left.

There should be an 'events & actions' tab somewhere...

Choose Events and Actions from the View pulldown as shown below:

Then it shows at the bottom of your toolbox window, or it may be docked next to the toolbox window (you can move it around).  Mine looks like this:

There are 3 pages of settings.  First is Properties.  Second is Animations.  Third is Actions and Events.  There are 3 icons for them in the toolbox.  Click and open them every time you open the HMI program.  With Studio 1.17, they stay open.

There's also 25 or so video on the YouTube channel about doing things with the NA, and there are a series of practices guides manuals.
