Machine OPR and setting zero position

how to set a machine zero position using OPR sensor?

everytime i turn on the plc the program will read every last position as zero position. i want to make a single spot as zero position

What is an OPR sensor? What PLC are you using? Are you reading the value from the sensor during startup? In every way, if you have a memory (e.g. D) then make sure it's in a latched area for battery backup of the value...

@kaare_t im using mitsubishi plc. q02h cpu. i have wired the near dog signal at qd75d4 motion control, but the signal is off although the sensor is on.

opr is a operation for zero position (initial position)

I haven't worked much with motion controllers, so if this is wired to the motion control card then I'm not sure. Maybe someone else knows...
