PLC 2/05 CPU RAM Battery Replacement

3 posts in this topic

Have an older PLC 2/05 where the RAM battery has not been replaced for years.   It still has a valid program that is occasionally used.  How can I safely replace the RAM battery without loosing the program?   This PLC apparently requires removal from the rack and therefore will not have power applied to it.

See pdf, do you have a eeprom installed or do you have a external battery pack for your processor?

Software and hardware to get connected to upload/download the program?

If not you may have to contact your local AB repr.

It does not have an external battery pack and I have not checked to see if it has an EPROM.   I will do that.

thanks for PDF and info.
