analog inputs

hello.

Im new to using omron and im wondering how to use analog inputs and convert them into digital outputs. we are using an omron cj2m cpu11, with mad42 as our analog i/o module, id211 and oc211 as our basic i/o. Our task is to use a lidec l20d and a light to indicate that  there is water on the lidec. the lidec sends out 6 mA when its out of water and 18 mA when its in water. the problem is that i don't know how to use any analog inputs in general so all help would be appriciated thanks
