Posted 19 Oct 2016 (edited) Hi there! I need to set up a communication link between an FX3GE PLC and a Melfa RV-2F-D robot with a CR750-D controller. Can I use the PLC's built in ethernet port for this? Is there a native driver for this (i.e. to read a register from the PLC into the robot controller)? Or should I use some kind of a no protocol communication? We also have a GT1455 in the setup and had in the past a solution where the robot was talking to an FX3U trough the HMI, but there was a lag in the communication which I would like to avoid. I am new to Mitsubishi so please bear with me. Thanks! Edited 19 Oct 2016 by Kahl typo
Posted 19 Oct 2016 Hello Kahl, The standard ethernet port of the FX3GE can't be used it oonly support MC protocol for HMI/SCADA etc. for this you will need a ENET module. 1 person likes this
Posted 19 Oct 2016 Thanks Gambit! So I have to get an ENET module. Or will it work trough the HMI, even with a lag?
Posted 19 Oct 2016 Through the HMI should work for the controller you should use the Q ethernet driver but you will have a lag. 1 person likes this
