CP1L daylight savings?

5 posts in this topic

I'm assuming the CP!L plc time clock does not include daylight savings capability and I would have to build this into my program manually with a date compare or am I missing something?

Correct. Most PLCs do not have DST support as many places around the world do not use it, and the ones that do vary greatly.

I'm using it so that at 4am it will do a cold cip wash if the temperature fails to reach 80 in the water boiler from once the cip was started with a max waiting period of 10 hours.

I'm really using it as a fail safe, I expect it to at least be accurate to at least 5 min so it is not critical, but I nee to cater for dayling savings that is fixed  date in new Zealand, and it need to be accurate to the day and hour over a year period.

Have a look in the downloads section - Sleepy Wombat posted a few function blocks and examples for daylight savings there.
