Ethernet and Power in 1 Connector

11 posts in this topic

Looking to install an HMI with an E STOP in a Stainless steel enclosure mounted permanently

The PLC is mounted to a portable machine that will be rolled away for maintenance.

Looking for a quick disconnect with ethernet and a couple of pins we can use for 24vdc and an Estop.

Has anybody found as clean solution using only1 connector?

thanks

Typically power and communications will be 2 different plugs.  I've never seen one with Ethernet and extra signals.  Maybe you can get something like a MIL connector and solder it up yourself with the right signals.

There is a standard.   You might try adopting the POE pinout.

POE isn't 24VDC.  Not from what I've read.

I was just saying it wouldn't be a bad idea to adopt the pinout for his application.

But then if a POE device is connected and those pins get 48V, that would be bad...

Grace makes plugs that can be mounted on a panel, and I love their products.  But it's not a cable, it's an access point.

The connector is module so it was multiple part numbers.

09140082733 - 8 pin female

09140082633 - 8 pin male

09140014721  - ethernet female end

 09454001560 -  ethernet male end

09300100527 - hood
