5 posts in this topic

Hello All,

I am trying to communicate FX3GE PLC with GX Developer. Will it work on ethernet port?

I have tried the same but no success.

What is the default IP address of this PLC?

Although it is communicating with GX Developer via usb.

Please share the procedure of communicating FX3GE plc with GX Developer via ethernet port.

If it can't communicate with GX developer, then how can can I communicate it with GX works?

You probably can't do it with Gx developer unless you can write the in built ethernet settings with a ladder program.

With GX Works 2 you can set the PLC's I/P address in PLC parameters. Then go to the network center in the control panel on your PC and find your LAN adapter. Click on its properties button and then open the TCP/IP settings. Select "use the following IP address:" and enter the same address as in the PLC +1 (assuming there's nothing else connected on the LAN).

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

But still no success.

The procedure is attached for your reference.

Please guide what is wrong in this setting.

In TCP Ip setting of my laptop:- "IP is 192.168.1.250".

Thanks in advance57147e72c2e9b_Ethernet_GXworks.thumb.JPG

If you use the search function on this forum, this subject has been covered many times over, however - your laptop TCP/IP setting should be anything but 192.168.1.250 on the same subnet, this is the IP address of the PLC (default value). The 192.168.1.250 should be entered into the IP address of the ethernet adapter in the FX parameter, its not needed to fill in default router ip address.

Thanks nefpets. Thank you very much.

I didn't know the default ip of the PLC.

That was the only problem.
