Posted 8 Feb 2016 If you have a SLC...this can be done with the 1746-HSTP1 module. Keep in mind this module was revised recently and the new Rev. B module does not act like the rock-solid Rev. A model. At a previous employer, we had built many, many machines with SLC-500 controllers, 1746-HSTP1 module for every stepper axis with pulses going to the stepper motors, and Anaheim transformers to step the voltage down. Very rugged open-loop solution. If you need precise motion control with feedback, then stepper is NOT the direction you want to go. If you have a Control/CompactLogix platform...this can be done with an AMCI 3200-series Stepper Controller and is a cleaner solution, overall. http://www.amci.com/stepper-motor-control/controllogix-stepper-motor-controller.asp
Posted 26 Jul 2019 Yes...You can Use Delta PLC DVP-12SE or any Transistor output PLC... and Microstep Driver DM542... IF you need to control one motor Y0 and Y1 will be use and if you need two Y2 and Y3 will be Use Relay output cannot be control this high speed pulses There are two type control for stepper drive...DDRVA and DPLSY or DRVA and PLSY Examples are attached for Program in ISPSoft DM542 Manual link http://tinel.com/uploads/DM542.pdf in case of any help, you can send me email rizwanmfsj@gmail.com
