robotic controller

hi i am new to robotic. I want to find a robotic controller for 4-axis delta robot for pick and place application. I see most of controller(beckoff,festo,keba) based on Codesys which provide sth call "softmotion" my doubt: if all use codesys. what make the difference? should i only choose by the price?

Many robot companies offer their own controllers.  A better question than which one to use would be which ones are compatible with the robot you plan to use.
