Error - Why do I get it?

5 posts in this topic

I get this error when I try to download a program to my FX1N-14MR. I just installed V8 of GX-DEV. I never had this error when I was using V5. the program is not very big at all. Any ideas on what might be required to get rid of it? Thanks, Mike

It seems there are some different memory settings in your program from the one in the plc. Try uploading the program first from the plc, ticking all the box's and then downloading

You should check your parameter setting, maybe the amount of memory you specify for your comment is smaller then what is actually needed

I never did set any Comment Capacity under the PLC Parameters window. What exactly does this do? Does it reserve space in the PLC for comments? Thanks, Mike

Yes it does reserve memory in the CPU for storage of comments. One owrd of caution, that space is coming off your maximum program size. But I've written many Mitsubishi programs that were under 1K, so I always tend to turn this option on. It's nice to be able to go up to a machine I haven't touched in years and have all my notes from last time right on board the PLC.
