The machines I work with have touchpanels with variables that are set by the operators of said machines. Whenever I need to reload a program in a machine RSlogic 500 will load the ladder and data tables thereby changing the operating parameters of the machine. How to download only the ladder??? Thanks

You can not do that, however when you set the variables through the touch screen, make an upload and save the program. Try to do this

Try this: 1. Go on line and upload the program currently running in the PLC, go back off line. 2. Open another instance of RSlogix, open the "new" program, you plan on downloading. 3. Copy data tables form running program, goto new program and paste data tables. 4. Download new program to plc, should have same data values. Ken
