installing 5/03 in a 5/05 rack

I have an application to swap a 5/03 processor for a 5/05. I tested the 5/03 with the 5/05 program in a demo rack and everything is fine. When I install the 5/03 in the field rack and put it in run mode I get a major fault bit set. Any suggestions what my problem is?

you need to check cpu status to see what the real cause is... go online and read the fault. since you tested it in a demo rack, memory size should be ok. is the hardware configuration correct (same rack size etc)?

agree with pm, most likely hardware configuration. Seeing processor status file info on fault tab will help.

As suggested, both the rack size and the actual I/O configuration have to match the program exactly. When I've done test programs in a rack with no I/O, on occasion the fact that the rack sizes have to match has tripped me up.
