normal operation of this drive the motor stops at end of each cycle but if E-Stop is pushed it coast to stop need to stop now thru res. bank. any sug. thanks

The stop mode (Ramp, Coast, etc) on a Powerflex 700 is controlled by parameters 155 and 156. See manual pg. 39: http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/20b-um002_-en-p.pdf Hope this helps.

You may also may need to adjust parameter 153 (regen power limit) as the default value (-50) is for the internal resistor, when using an external resistor this value can be raised to -800. Also parameters 161, 162, 163 may need to be set. Alan Edited 4 Jun 2015 by alan_505

The Human Interface Module (HIM) allows you to access the drive parameters individually and also provides a bulk upload/download feature called "HIM Copycat". Use that keyword in your searches of the User Manual and the RA Knowledgebase and you should find a good description of how that feature works.
