TO ORGANIZE ARCHIVES IN PLC IS ELEMENTARY Happens that the archives is vital to store directly to the PLC, however to organize it is quite difficult. The solution allows to solve the problem in a jiffy. A flick of the wrist gives the ability to store archives of events, alarms or parameters of required length and depth, records of which are supplied with timestamps, and to display them on an HMI or PC. One archive record contains a timestamp, consisting of year-month-day of month-hours-minutes-seconds packed in 3 registers, and the event/alarm code and/or the values ??of parameters. When reading is proceed, the records are decompressed by the number of lines on-screen page, starting with the most relevant records, with possibilities: - of scrolling to the direction of more old records and back, and with prohibition of scrolling to the next page, when that does not contain records, - of instant cleaning of archive by activation an appropriate virtual button on the HMI or PC screen . Thus, for example, a FX1N PLC in which a whole range of file registers - 7000 memory cells - is used for archives, there is an opportunity to store the archive of events/alarms with depth of 7000 / (3 + 1) = 1750 records. And in case if is necessary to archive seven measured values, the depth of such archive will be 7000 / (3 + 7) = 700 records. Edited by Inntele
