emailed: Recommend an Omron Book?

3 posts in this topic

robert herold (R.HEROLD@WORLDNET.ATT.NET) on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 21:16:00 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- question: other comments: We have 2 process machines @ work which have OMRON PLCs at their hearts. Although I have considerable computer programming knowledge, I have no knowledge of LADDER programming or PLC programming. Can you recommend some textbooks which deal with LADDER LOGIC programming techniques. I will be building a new process machine in the near future, and will be incorporating a PLC (DL05 or DL06) from AUTOMATION DIRECT in Georgia. I will need to know how to program this device. Any help is most appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know if there is an OMRON book, but here is a link to An Allen Bradley based book and it's free. http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?&act=Down...&CODE=02&id=156 One of our members here did a nice quick guide on Omron PLCs, you might want to check that out too. http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?act=Downl...&CODE=02&id=206 Other than that, post your questions and I am sure one of us here can help.
