CompactLogix to Magna Power Rectifier

I am trying to connect an CompactLogix to a Magna Power Model TS Power Supply. I have tried talking to it through Ethernet Open Socket and also thru RS232 with a 1734-232ASC Point I/O card, in both cases I can get my computer to talk to it thru Hyper Terminal and Hercules. The difference was that after every command I had the press return on the keyboard, is there a special character that I need to use for the carriage return in the CONCAT instruction? Has anyone on here had any luck talking to one of these units?

If you are using the standard ascii instructions you can just set an appended character on the user protocol tab of the controller properties dialogue. '$r' is the entry for carriage return. This is very common when setting up comm's with simple devices.

Experiment also with both Carriage Return and Line Feed. Some devices want to see both.
