Hi, I am having experiance on AB PLC. I am very new for GE PLCs. How to communicate FANUC 90-70 CI697 CPX772 system with an C++ application running on the PC, using Ethernet network? As well over serial communication?

Go to kepware.com or software toolbox.com and purchase a driver for SNP communications for the serial connection and a driver for SRTP for the Ethernet Comms. It may be better to look into using an OPC server instead of writing your own. What you know of the AB PLC may not be relevant to the 90-70, so do not make assumptions but rather verify everything. :) There is lots of info on support.ge-ip.com Edited 26 Jun 2013 by RussB
