PID CONTROL Using analog in and Digital out

5 posts in this topic

Hi Guys New to the forum, i have an omron back ground but recently started using Rockwell i would like to find out if it is possible to use a PID control with an analog in to control a digital out to a SSR to control a heat like the PID function block in the RS Logix 5000 Software.. And Omron Tech support are not even close to the service that i receive from Rockwell tech support, does omron have tech support that you can pay for as well to get better service?

If you have the CJ series of PLCs, use TPO (Time Proportioning Output) to control digital outputs from PID.

Attached is a Function Block that I created to feed a digital output from the output of a PID instruction. There are 2 Function Blocks. 1 includes an MV monitor (0 - 100%). Time Proportion Output from PID.zip
