CP1H-X40DT1-D Outputs

4 posts in this topic

Hi guys, First time poster here - I have a problem with this CP1H PLC's outputs. Basically none of them work, although my multimeter says I have 24VDC, but there isn't because it wont energize a 24VDC relay coil, and yes relay is working. I force the output on, and the LED for that output lights up, but relay not on. This is PNP Transistor outputs (all the Commons are 24VDC) and Outputs go to 24VDC Relay coils Any ideas, or is the PLC shot? Thanks in advance Simmo

You have 24V on the COM terminals, 0V and PLC output on the relay coil?

Hi pfort, Yes 24VDC on the Com terminals and 0V at the coil, when I force the output on. All the COM terminals are fed from (+) 24V power supply and loop connected . Outouts 00, 01, 02, are connected to the relay coils, the other side of the coils are to ground (-) The coils should energize when the output is on and close the relay contacts to the motors I want to control. (Well they used to) All I've done is move the control cabinet out of our showroom and into my office. Now things don't work.

Sounds like there is a loose connection somewhere in your 24 volt wiring. Check both the plus and minus (ground) sides of the circuit
