Using the Cimplicity Demo

Is it possible to connect the Cimplicity HMI demo to an AB 503? Direct is fine for now, I'll worry about the ethernet later. I just want to see the potential.

After reading the FAQS I think this software is only Ethernet capable. I'm disapointed that I can't set up a RS232 direct link for bench testing. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Cimplicity HMI has a DF1 driver available. The demo that's included on the CD uses a simulation for animation. Any points in the demo that change state or change value are linked to this simulation. To connect to an AB PLC, you'll need to be able to edit the demo to create a device (the PLC) and add device points to the point list. These new device points will be linked to addresses in the PLC.
