COMPACTLOGIX

I am looking at using a 1769-L35E (Ethernet IP ) with a 1769-AENT Flex IO Adapter. Do I need a ethernet bridge module or will the on board Ethernet IP Port work?

I haven't used this but, in setting up a test program, the adapter adds easily as I/O under the Ethernet port. I assume that if it lets it then it's ok.

The CompactLogix controllers with embedded Ethernet can happily run any EtherNet/IP I/O platform; 1734 POINT, 1756 ControlLogix, 1794 FLEX. In general I like POINT because of its more sophisticated configuration objects but FLEX is a mature and high-density I/O platform too. Use the ENET-UM001 user manual to help estimate your connection count and port capacity.
