Hi All I know its very likely this is not the right place but here goes anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of connecting to sensors & solenoids etc on a rotating machine using ASi via a slip ring, and if so what issues caused problems and recomendations on manufacture of slip ring/rotary joint assembly Thanks in anticipation

No experience with ASI. Some with Profibus, Genius, and DH+. Strongly recommend these days not bothering. For all the hassle and problems it's just as easy to cross the slip ring with a wireless system and more reliable. Modern protocols these days are getting more and more touchy about slip rings so wireless just makes that much more sense.
