FX80-MT CPU

Hi to All members, Have 1 question, is it possible to run 2 melsec FX80-MT cpu together? I am searching a manual for it. If somebody have it can pass it to me here. DSC

What do you mean "Running 2 PLCs together"??

Hi I am thinking to make one of the cpu to be a master so it can read and write IO to the other cpu. dsc

No method I know of will do that. They are both masters.

:) Not at all. The feature is referred as "Parallel Running" and requires a parallel link adapter on the left side of each PLC (FX2-40P with fiber optic link or FX2-40AW with twisted pair link). Allows to exchange 100 bits and 10 words in each direction. Communication is being performed automatically, data writing/reading is done by PRUN instruction. Edited by Sergei Troizky

And keep in mind that all that equipment is long obsolete. Parallel link is a great and simple way to share data between 2 PLCs. But FX- products are obsolete. You should consider upgrading both to an FX3U, and adding the FX3U-485-BD or FX3U-485ADP-MB.
