Posted 16 Jun 2009 Has anybody heard about any progress in this? I don't want to change manufacturers only to find out they won't be able to provide any more product.

Posted 16 Jun 2009 I'm not a lawyer but the whole thing souds like kids taunting each other. Check out the judge's opinion here: http://cases.justia.com/us-court-of-appeal...471/745/512715/ you'll have to scroll down a bit. I especially like item number 2. I googled "autotech automationdirect lawsuit" and got a lot of hits. I guess you'll have to form your own opinion. We have used the disputed iotems from both companies and haven't let this influence us.
Posted 16 Jun 2009 That's good info, we can't get an ez-touch to work for more than a few months before it fails, and if you call their tech support you are put on hold for 30 min and the call is then dropped!
Posted 16 Jun 2009 We didn't have that kind of failure rate with the EZ-Touch. Their EZ-Touch CE was a disaster though. Very erratic operation. We are now using the AD C-More. It seems like more bang for the buck. Of course you have to redo the applications but that's true all the time when going from one company to another. Posted 16 Jun 2009 Same here, love the C-More, I am replacing a couple EZ-Touch's at a customer and didn't want to have any future problems with replacements, I can't believe Automation Direct would enter into a contract without legal representation. Auto Direct's tech support is the best I have ever worked with.
Posted 15 Jan 2011 the AD-Cmore does appear to have more bang for the buck. Haven't had any problems with the EZ-Touch however and since I have a lot of already installed applications with the EZ-Touch is doesn't pay to switch them over in the field. Also, the AD-Cmore doesn't support DH+ and there are still a lot of these networks in the field.
