Two PC modems dial out at same time

Hey, Do anybody know that if I can use two PC modems dial out at the same time assume I have two seperated telephone lines? I need to use it one for alarm system and the other one for pager. Thanks in advance.

As Long as the 2 modems are seperate process threads you should be able to.

At least back in the ISA days you could have up to 4 total "COM port" devices before you ran into trouble. You could have more but the interrupt pins were shared and you'd notice some performance problems. These days, those performance problems are sort of immaterial and interrupt handling has changed drastically ever since PnP (plug-and-play) came about, back with Windows 95. These days interrupts are generally more or less dynamically allocated.
