HI, I AM TRYING TO COMMUNICATE BETWEEN SLC-5/05 AND CARRIER CHILLER, FLEXLOGIX L34 AND MCQUEY CHILLER.I HAVE CONNECTED BOTH THE PLCS COMPORT THROUGH RS485-232 CONVERTER INBETWEEN, PLEASE TELL IF SOME ONE DID IT HOW TO READ AND WRITE THE HOLDING REGISTERS ETC IN RSL-500 AND 5000. REGARDS NS

SLC 5/05's serial ports do not support MODBUS. You will need an additional piece of hardware. You could purchase a ML1100 and connect it's serial port to the CHILLER and use Modbus. Then pass the data from the ML1100 to the other processors via ethernet.

the easy way is add a Prosoft gateway,Ethernet 2 modubs it is very easy to connect the chiller
