Modbus to Modbus TCP signal conversion

5 posts in this topic

Hi Turck Experts! I am curious to know if the BL67-RS232 Module will take a modbus signal from an instrument and pass it out using the BL67-PG-EN Modbus TCP gateway. Thanks!

sorry guys quick note...the input modbus signal is an RTU/ASCII if you already didn't know that!

I would say 99% it talks Modbus RTU. But why don't you just use a third party Modbus RTU to TCP converter ? BL67_1RS232.pdf

Chaca BL67-RS232 module can take any serial signal including Modbus RTU or ASCII. You can also use RS485 module to acomplish the same result vi RS485 communication. Inside your CoDeSys program you can map any variable to the Modbus resigesters to be communicated to Modbus TCP/IP Master devices. If you have more specific questions you can contact Tuck Inc Applications department and they will be able to help you 763-553-7300 Kseniya
