Supervisor to sql server

4 posts in this topic

I am beginning a new project and I am looking at using CX-Supervisor to log data to a SQL Server.  Before I even start this project I am curious to know if anyone has tried this before and if they can give me any insight?? Thanks

I have supported others who have used CX Supervisor with SQL Server and know that they have been successful.  One thing that CX Supervisor will not support is SQL Server syntax errors.  If you use the wrong syntax for SQL, CX Supervisor will not check for bad syntax and will report the command as good.

Thanks for the tip, I will watch out for those syntax errors.  Have you come across any sample code that could help??

Opinion only ! For SQL database use VB or C++ applications with OLE-DB ActiveX controls and OPC-Server for PLC. Use SCADA for animations and control with any PLC.
