  2. Ok I'll try a different angle of attack. I have acquired an S7-1212c unit. It is just too new for my TIA portal, which is V 15.1 The new PLC I have has firmwear 4.5 the TIA portal I have only supports 4.3, I get some errors regarding synconization etc. and it's like there are some tins that don't work. how do I update the TIA portal to the correct firmware I've tried updating the HSP files but it doesn't change anything https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/54163658/how-do-you-update-the-hardware-catalog-in-tia-portal-?dti=0&lc=en-DE

    Hello guys! A would like to set up a new inverter for my existing machine. I wanna follow the recomandation about the safety wiring. The only problem is I need one more, Z safety output. I checked, there is official expansion unit, and it says I have to only connect the EA, EB, EG, and EP terminals ? Do I have to connect again the X0, COM0 ; X1, COM1 terminals, because I want actually the same inputs, just I need one more safety relay output. I attached picture about it, thanks ahead. 
  4. Hello fellow tinkerers, Inside our company we're expanding our IoT network with the replacement of CJ1G-H to CJ2M CPU units. When swapping models we are downloading the Datamemories back into the CPU. Our engineer warned us to not download all the DM memories: only up to D20000, so I did. When starting we had some inputs that weren't showing in the Data trace: and noticed that it were pulses shorter than 8ms. We found out the "Unit settings" were back to default and this is not unusual since we only downloaded range D0-D20000 but I'd like to avoid this in the future and look up what each datamemory means. I know D30000 to D31599 are the memories for the CPU bus unit settings (manual W473 section 4-5) but what range is the "unit settings" within these 1600 datamemories? I can't seem to find it in any manual I look into (W473, W472).. Also do you see any problems with downloading the full datamemory range?   Kind regards!

I am having some trouble at a customer's site getting a program transferred from an SD Card to update the HMI program in an NA Screen.  I am not there but when the customer tried to transfer the new code they got a message "OS Version Mismatch - Install OS 7.4.0 the user program expects." I am not sure what to advise them because I can't find this when I search the NA manuals. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am in NY and they are in China so I can not even reach out to Omron Tech Support right now because they are closed. I attached a screen shot of the HMI.   Thank you!!!

    MY OMRON CJ1M CPU12 SHOWS UNIT NUMBER DUPLICATE ERROR. ERROR CODE IS 0X80E9.  THE CPU HAS TWO NUMBER OF HIGH SPEED COUNTER IN A RACK SOME AND I/O UNITS.  PLEASE HELP HOW TO SET MACHINE NUMBER (ROTARY SWITCH)  IN OMRON CJ1W-CT021 IF TWO UNIT CONNECTED IN ONE CPU. Hello all,   My coworker is running into an issue where his version of Sysmac Studio has been updated, but this is causing a version mismatch from an existing project.  He has called Omron, and they are saying that there's no way to downgrade the OS.    Project operating system version = 7.4.0 Device Operating System version =  7.3.0   So the OS on the NA5 would need to be upgraded to match the version of Sysmac.  Does anyone have any suggestions to revert the automatic upgrade that has occurred? Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi All,  I need some clarification on the PID instruction. The note states that if #9 is set for C+6 04-07, the I & D will be 0.1 to 819.1s. But I didn't understand this highlighted section. Does it mean that my I and D values will something between  (1x τ)~(8191xτ)s??   All help is much appreciated, Stay safe and healthy. T J Sharon

    Hello to all I have a mitsubishi electric plc Q-series (q02hcpu) with 2 Position card (qd75m4) for controlling 4 servo motor (mr-j2s-350b).  I have a new problem with.   13. Hello friends; I have an original program in version 10 now i want to convert it in version 16.03. On my laptop i have installed both version. Which menu makes me able to change the program version offline. When i go online the controller firmware is in version 16 and it ask update firmware before download the version 10 program.  how i convert version 10 program into version 16 offline then i download into the controller?   Regards

  15.   Hi all, Iam currently working with a migration project from Rsview32 to FTView. I was able to convert the RSView32 SCADA to FTView successfully. Current scenario is like RSView32 (which was the existing pcs) SCADA is running in two stand alone PCs and Iam trying to line up the new Factory talk view SCADA in another system.Communication is taken from same ethernet switch to which all ethernet cables from 5PLCs in the field are terminated and from which RSView32 scada has taken itz communication. PLCs used there are 2 No.of  1747 L532E slc 5/03 OS302 Ser c Frn 10 & later and 3 Nos of 1747 L533E slc 5/03 OS302 aer c Frn 10 & later. communication taken via net eni (1761 NetEni) Ftview installed system is Windows 10 pro OS) Issue is while RSView32 scada is working properly, Factory talk view is not getting neither online tags nor able to play display for those linked with L533E processor.But everything is fine with L532E processor. I just tried with downloading L533E program to L532E processor and everything was getting. So am i missing something or what should i do to get proper communication with L533E processor.   plz help..Iam a beginner in this field.
  16. Hi   First post in this forum - hope I'm not duplicating topics..... I've had prior experience with Siemens S7 Tags for I/O allocation - how is it done for the M340/Unity setup please ie how do you assign a physical address (say %I.0.1.5) to an input in the program? I imagine it is somewhere in the 'Configuration' section where I have defined all the modules?? I find the standard help quite hard to follow and find what I'm looking for - anyone have any better documentation. Also I am feeding a quadrature encoder output into a high speed counter module - any tips/examples of suitable program structure to use? Thanks for listening.... Andy

    I'm supposed to send the software from one machine to the other. The Dwonload but who does not want to open with the CX Programmer: comes version incompatible. But I do not want to pay 700 € for an update I just want a tool that allows me to send this data in the other machine. Weir has an idea or who helps me I pay the service. The machines are in Austria in Saint Pölten.

Dear all Please identify me i am having one Issue in my PLC.When I changed the IP of my plc then suddenly its showing error ERH its mean IP address wrong but  My CPU setting is same like previous means unit no=0, x16^0=0 ,Node=x16^0=1  and IP is 192.168.0.15 Mask add.255.255.255.0. but when I, transfer to PLC (in Program Mode) its not transferred(Failed to Transfer) please rectify me where I am doing wrong.

    Working in GX Developer Version 8.107M, some of the code that I have been working with seems to be hidden.  It appears that the lines turn highlighter yellow, keeping me from viewing code.  I've looked into this and cannot find a solution.  Does anyone know how to expand the code? Thank you.
  20. FR-DU04 (FR-A500) vs FR-DU04-1 (FR-V500). Programming unit differences. (A VSD question) What is the difference between these units? Why are they not interchangeable. (Other than the fact that the FR-DU04-1 is used for vector VSD applications, and the FR-DU04 is intended for standard induction motor applications. Is this a matter of firmware differences?

  24. Hello,I am trying to use ProWORX NXT to view the logic of my Modicon Quantum 534 controller online. When I try to go online with it, it always times out. I am using a TCP/IP connection and my PC is in the same subnet as the controller in question. I can ping the controller's IP address just fine and when I use ProWORX NXT's Net Scan function, it recognizes that there is an Ethernet connection at that IP address but doesn't recognize it as a Modicon controller.Weirdly enough, my PC can connect to another Modicon controller of the same type and in the same subnet just fine.Can anyone help me with this issue?
  25. I am in the learning phase of HMI and PLC programing and am trying to use some of the hardware that has been donated to me. I have an AB panelview 300 micro terminal and a Micrologix 1000 Plc (they are not tethered yet). I have constructed a small test board with everything mounted to it and have successfully written and downloaded a simple project to the plc with timers, etc.   Now I need to find a way to program the terminal to make changes to the program.   I am looking for some free panelbuilder 32 or anything that will allow me to program the terminal and use it.   Can anyone help me? All help will be greatly appreciated!
