  2. OLD TCP HMI HELP

Hello all I have a an old TCP HMI Model HMIWD100A2P  I am trying to figure out if there is any software out there to back it up and look towards migration.
  3.   Hi, I am a design engineer for Teknek. We manufacture automated manufacturing equipment which is used around the globe. Our HQ is located in Scotland, west of Glasgow. We have two PLC based control systems that require further development to meet our customers’ needs.   The first of these systems uses a Panasonic controller. This system needs upgrading to a newer/better model of the Panasonic PLC and additional software development to enable the addition of networking capabilities for remote operation and monitoring via an ethernet link from a customer server, whilst maintaining the current functionality.   The second system we use is based on a ProFace controller. This also needs the addition of networking capabilities for remote monitoring – in this case to enable a remote operator to view the current state of the machine and see if any alarms are active. The hardware for this is already suitable so the development work would purely be software based. We have a further task for the ProFace system relating to modifying the current logic to add new functionality and the addition of a further digital output expansion module to facilitate this. These tasks are for different machines.   For both these controllers we are looking to for developers, experienced in the relevant system, to whom we could subcontract one or more of the work packages. We have budget in place for an immediate start.
  4. Hi everyone! Is it possible to connect between PLC micro850 with HMI Proface GP4000 series ? If it can do, can you show me how to do it? Thank you in advance!
  5. Proface historical trend

Hi Guys! I have an another question , I hope you guys can/want to help me. I have some problem with an proface panel. I want to make a hisotrical trend, but when I want to select the channels (tags what I want to monitor) I can't select anything, because undetermined. I think I should set the tags kind of a buffer list, but I don't find it. So my question is how can I set the tags. I can't changed it at all. If the answer is I need to make a buffer list, then where can I find it ?  Thank you so much.
  6. Upload an application

I want to upload an application from a QuickPanel  What software, decive or cable do i need?
  7. Greetings everyone, I have a Proface HMI(LT-4201TM Modular type DIO) connected to a siemens flow transmitter(MAG6000). Communication between these two devices is using modbus. The modbus register that im using to get the data/reading of a totalizer from siemens transmitter are 403022 and 403023. I managed to display the exact totalizer value from siemens transmitter on the Proface HMI screen. But I couldnt get the exact totalizer value at the ladder logic side, the value that i get at the ladder logic side seems like a raw value. For an example, the totalizer's value is 147083(real value), but at the ladder logic side the value for 403022=15598 and 403023=17316.   Can anyone guide me to solve this issue.   Thanks in advance.
  8. proface password

Hi guys! I have a problem with Proface OP panel. There are some pages where the password is set. I think the password is in the OP panel not in the PLC. My question is that anybody know that how can I change the password? Where and how can I find it? Thanks for your help.
  9. Hi everyone, my boss has recently decided that he wanted to start using proface hmi and ladder logic for projects. The model were using is the LM4301TADAC. Im really new to proface programming and I'm struggling with trying to get an ifm effector pressure transducer programmed in analog on this.  How do you program analog inputs and get them to work with the GP-Pro Ex software? Thank you everyone for your help!

  12. I'm trying to get an older system up and running again. I'm using the software from the original build and a new screen off the shelf. (we had one new in the box never been opened.) The program downloads fine but It never shows up on the screen. I get the same Ethernet setup screen that it originally powered up to new from box . I pulled the program from the same model screen and I can upload it to the old screen just fine. but it will not work with new screen, even though it seems to upload just fine.  Software is Quickdesigner 3.70 (yes it older)  Screen is a Proface GP2400-TC41-24V (which is the same model number of the old screen) Any help is greatly appreciated. (yes I cycled power)
  13. Quick Panel (TCP model) Upload

Hello All, I have an older Total Control Quick Panel QPI2D100L2P 10.4 inch Monochrome that I am trying to retrieve the program on. The original programmer is unknown and we do not have a copy of the program. The screen has gone out on this panel.I am using quickdesigner on an XP virtual machine. I have the correct programming cable the 8 pin DIN connector HMI-CAB-C49-JWhen I connect to the HMI, The software "sees" that the HMI is connected and says "waiting for the Display to be ready" then times out and tells me "the display is Hung" and another message "Turn display OFF" when I turn it off the software gives me the message "Turn Display ON" then when I turn it on, the software goes to "waiting for the Display device to be ready" and just sit there. Nothing more. I have waited for 20 mins for it to progress and nothing. At first I thought maybe the Panel that I am working on is just bad. However I get the same indications on another, same model, quick panel that IS working just fine. I know this is older stuff. And ProFace Support (who took over making the replacements from TCP) wont support using quick designer on anything other than a Win 2K machine or older. Anyone have experience with these panels?
  14. Dear All, At the moment, I have project with PLC Delta and HMI Proface. I design HMI GP2500 by GP-PRO/PBIII ( V7.0). I see in List Device PLC of Software  not support PLC Delta.  Can you tell me how do you connect or Software HMI Proface ( Gp2500) support PLC Delta ? Thanks you very much.
  15. I am trying to connect a Turck FEN20 Ethernet I/O block to a LT4301M to use as remote I/O.  I am actually trying to set it up as a test bed for both the LT4301 and the FEN20 as my company would like to consider using one or both of them in future low-cost projects.  So I have two basic goals: 1) prove that the LT4301 can easily be set up to use cheap EhternetIP (or modbus) expansion modules 2) prove that the FEN20 can easily be set up to work with PLC brands other than AB (because most of our customers are Omron, Siemens, or Melsec). So far I'm unable to prove either.  I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get the two to communicate.  Proface has several application notes with same GP-Pro example projects for setting up different communication protocols but none of them work for me.  I've tried several of the different EthernetIP protocols available on the Proface as well as several Modbus protocols.  I know others have set these Proface units up to work with Phoneix and Wago Ethernet I/O... so what am I missing?
  16. Hi Guys Is there a way to display torque tightenings from a Atlas copco PF3000 box onto a proface HMI  AGP 3400 Cheers K
  17. Hi, I need to download the program into a series five PLC (both batteries empty in RAM module). I received the data that should do this. Looks like a copy of 3 floppies. Does anyone have a GE Fanuc series Five PLC  can buy or borrow so I can test it? I already made a serial cable but need to know or find out how to do this. Regards, Pieter Hoeben pieter.hoeben@gmail.com
  18. Hello, I am trying to get a Fanuc R-30iB controller added into my RSLogix program. The PLC is a CompactLogix 1769-L30ER When I search for new modules to add I see a pre setup Fanuc Robot Ethernet module, but I can't get that to work. I tried following Fanuc's instructions and setting it up as a generic ethernet module, but I couldn't get that to work either, it just says i/o not responding for that module. I am definitely able to ping the Fanuc controller, so I believe I am seeing it. When I add the controller in RSLinx, it's there, but there is no icon next to it's name. I'm guessing because its a fairly new controller, and it came out after the version of RSLinx that I'm using? Don't I need to download the EDS file for the new controller so that Linx can recognize it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  19. Has anyone had experience communicating with a Fanuc robot controller via EIP? Looking to communicate with the following robot controller. Typically need an EDS file to import to talk to 3rd party devices.Have not found one yet. Looking to communicate with the powermotion i Model A series, A02B-0323-J147 Ethernet I/P boards. Thanks in advance.
  20. Upload From 90-30 without Project

Hi, I need your help. I've been tasked to backup a program from a running PLC 90-30. Is it possible to do so without having the original project? (like you do with Siemens PLC?) We bought the cable IC690ACC901 and want to backup the running program to our PC, in order to have a copy of it, but I couldn't find an option in Profivy Machine Edition to do so. Should I make a new empty project? Thank You for your patience.
  21. Lenze drive fault on proface

Hi I am having a problem with an error/fault code. The fault comes from a lenze drive as an integer. We have a proface HMI monitoring a DBW in the siemens S7 300 that holds the lenze fault code. The PLC comes up with a generic code "lenze drive fault". The proface comes up with the drive code. I would like the PLC to produce a fault description using the lenze fault code in the DBW, instead of the generic one [listed above]. could anyone please help with this problem Thanks Robbo
