  1. In One of my machine we using one stepper drive thatCTA2H328M-MB model made by Centrust Motors China running without pulse input.Direction and  Enable input only connected. My problem is motor running in low speed since drive is 2.89 Amps and motor is 4.2 Amps so its not supporting.I want change drive capacity but i couldn't found a drive with same concept.I couldn't able to reach the chinese vendor.I have tried many drives which is in my stock all are enable input used for enable/Disable the drive.I am bit confuced. http://www.centrust-motor.com/?c=msg&id=2337 Kindly help what type of drive is this? Which model will suitable for my requirement?
  2. Dear Friends, I am doing a pick and place project using stepper motor.programmed movement by PLS2 command and motion are running fine.I want to program origin for the stepper axis. Please help. i don't know how to origin with a home sensor input.I am using CP1E PLC and stepper driver DM860.
  3. Hi Guys!   There is a task. I have a motor, and I can monitoring the actual speed. The question is how can I to determine the average speed, if I know just the actual speed. If the speed is zero, it must be ignored. So I have to measure when the motor moves. Anybody have any idea? How can I solve this problem. RSLogix 5000.  Thank you.
  4. I have 200W - 200VAC : Omron R88D-1SN02H ECT Servodrive and Omron R88M-1M20030T BS2 Servomotor I wish to make myself the connection between Drive and Motor , with self made cables. Connectors ( JAE ) - Japan Aviation Electronics JN6FR02SM1 - 2 pins - brake cable in motor side JN6FR07SM1 - 7 pins - encoder cable in motor side JN6FS05SJ2 - 5 pins - power cable in motor side Molex 55100-0670 - 6 pins - encoder cable connector in drive side - ( IEEE 1394 - Firewire 400 ) https://assets.omron.eu/downloads/manual/en/i823_1s-series_setup_manual_en.pdf http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/569007O/3mtm-i-o-interconnect-system-2-0-mm-for-ieee-1394-ts2296.pdf http://www.jae.com/z-en/pdf/MB-0161-1E_JN6.pdf https://industrial.omron.mx/es/media/I586-E1-02_1S-Series_EtherCAT_UsersManual_tcm851-112757.pdf ======================================== How can i know which it's pin #1 from each socket from Drive and Servomotor ? Atention !!! I'm not talking about pin numerotation from connectors which i connect to drive or motor . I wish to know the pin #1 from Drive CN2 socket and from Motor sockets ( power , brake and encoder ) http://www.jae.com/z-en/pdf/MB-0161-1E_JN6.pdf In MB-0161-1E_JN6.pdf you can see the numerotation of pins from "Receptacle" . That means , the "Receptacle" it's that part what is in Omron Servomotor ? Or it's the part of JAE connectors , which it's inside of connector housing ? The question is , how can i be sure i don't make a mistake, and i know the right numerotation of Encoder socket of Omron Drive : CN2 and the right numerotation of Omron Servomotor ( brake , power and encoder cable ) I've found schematics about how to connect the Drive with Motor with power , brake and encoder cables , but i didn't find a pin numerotation of sockets ( drive side CN2 encoder socket and power , brake and encoder from motor side ) I didn't find nowhere the right numerotation of pins from CN2 socket of Drive and from Servomotor sockets ( i find it something from above JN6 series connectors from JAE connectors ) I wish to know where can i find the numerotation of pins from Omron R88D-1SN02H ECT Servodrive and Omron R88M-1M20030T BS2 Servomotor Specially , the Encoder cable numerotation from Drive side and Motor side . I've noticed in attached picture the numerotation from Drive , CN2 encoder socket ( IEEE 1394 - Firewire 400 ) . That's correct ? It's right numerotation ?
  5. I have project where I need to measure motor current but I do not need to control the speed of the motor since it would always be running at full speed. Do I still need to use VFD to get feedback or is there cheaper way to measure the current?
  6. RC servo motor sg90

I new to the Cx-programmer. I'm facing a problem where i need make the servo motor go to certain direction and stop at the direction until other signal is sensed. Is there any instruction which can be used to do the ladder diagram? is it using PWM instruction? Is my servo motor (sg90) suitable for PLC ? do i need motor driver for this servo motor? or i just have to connect to the PLC 5v ? Im using CJ1M CPU21 PLC module. Im doing a sorting system project that use the servo motor to slide the item to certain angle.
  7. I've been building a contraption with linear rails and stepper motors. It has an X, Y, and Z axis. I'm using Velocio PLCs to control the motors which seems to be work well so far. I understand these are not very common and my question are related to general motion control, not Velocio programming specifically. Since I'm new to PLCs, programming, and stepper motion I thought I'd ask for some input instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. I'm to the point in the build where I'll be adding emergency stop/limit switches and am wondering how to go about writing the program; if there's an "industry standard" way to go about it. I figure the PLC will check to see if any switch is active. If one is, drive the motor away from it till it's inactive and store the location. If one is not, drive the motor until a switch activates then back off a until it's inactive and store the location. Drive the motor to the other limit of the axis (the number of steps should be known) to activate the switch, back off and store location. Rinse and repeat for the other axes. Is my approach about right?
  8. I'm looking for some general information about different types of vibration/temperature sensors. What type, brand, model number, etc. will best fit my application.  Scenario: I want to monitor the vibration and temperature of multiple motors and gearboxes for a large overhead conveyor system. If an oil leak occurs and temperature increases, I want to see a temp. alert via a HMI. If a something mechanical fails, I want to see a vibration alert via a HMI.  I've looked into sensors that stick to the outside housing of the motors or gearboxes via a magnet. My concern is justifying the temperature readings. How accurate would a sensor that reads an "ambient" temperature be (compared to a thermocouple on the motor coil itself or some sort of probe)? Also, would the location of the magnet  on the motor or gearbox drastically affect the temp. or vib. readings? Has anyone had success with a similar setup? If so, what devices did you utilize? Are these systems truly beneficial?  I'm currently considering Banner's wireless products...

  11. We have a Panelview Plus 600. One of our panels is labeled "Motor Control," in charge of turning on/off different pumps. The problem is while the system is running, clicking the on/off button will not turn any pump off. When the system is shut down, the pumps can be turned on and off but not when the system is running. I'm trying to shut off one pump without shutting the whole line down. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  13. DC motor with encoder

Hello, The company that I work for wanted me to design and build a FIFO loader. For those who do not know what a FIFO loader is, it's basically a lift that runs up and down and filling up the magazine slots with pcb's. After I finish the mechanical part i'll try to program it by using a CPM2C - 20. I have already played with CX-programmer and learned my self a bit, for example how to program simple things such as AND and OR gates for controlling motors and lights. Really hard part for me was figuring out how to create a program that reads data from the encoder and use it to create positions which the motor will stop at, and i have not yet figured it out. I've been trying to google it without any luck, the only thing of real info i've got is a 650 page long pdf file or CX-Programmer manual which is hard for me to read since i'm new to all of this. Would be great if any of you people got any source or maybe a manual which are easy to understand for new beginner like myself. A bit about the program i would like to make: The FIFO loader will have some buttons for selecting different programs, lets say you press first button to select "program 1". Then the machine should move up and stop at posision "50" (there are 50 slots on PCB magazine) after it gets signal from pneumatic actuator (which will be used to shove pcb inside the slot) its should move to position "49" and so on.. If FIFO loader is located at "home" position and you press second button to choose "program 2", then it will move to slot "49", wait until it gets loaded, and continue to slot "47" and so on.. The meaning of this is to make a loader which can select a program to fit pcb's with different size of components.
  14. Please suggest me about these issues: Issue: No Rotation 1.     The motor links are slack or release. 2.     Distant issue is stuck in the glide. 3.     The motor load is extreme. 4.     The bearing are shabby. Issue: Overheating 1.     The rotor is in part demagnetizing cause extreme motor present. 2.     Motor voltage is exceeding the highest value. 3.     The duty cycle is extreme.
  15. Hello, I am Er. Nirav M. Madhvani Can you please me tell me about How Stepper Motor Controlling using Allen Bradley PLC Micro logix 1000 and also tell me about Which Instruction I can used in this topic and also tell me about how speed Vary and Pulse vary ?
  16. Induction Motor with encoder

Hello, I am not sure if this topic is too far from what the forum concerns, but any advice is greatly appreciated including reference to other reference. I want to know if any induction motor has internal encoder equipped. We are using servo motors, and additionally an encoder for position check. Because the position control resolution requirement is about 1 degree, I am thinking about abandoning servo motor, and to use induction instead. Servo motor has internal encoders for outputting pulse information. And I wonder, if there are induction motors with internal encoders. Thanks in advance. Ting
  17. Hello I was searching the internet and I came up with this forum. Im excited to be part of it as a newbe I have a question on a micro 1100 with pto outputs to a stepper drive. The drive I'm using is anaheimautomation MBC25081TB - Stepper Drivers with DC Input. I was told that the sourcing output of the 1100 would work fine with the clock input on the drive. this is how I wired the drive and this is how the drive looks. Im not even sure what Im doing I have the plc set up and see it pulsing but for the life of me I can't get the drive to move. Can you please tell me the errors of my ways. Im very new to this and its killing me trying to get this running.
  18. We are currently using a SureStep STP-DRV-4850 stepper drive from Automation Direct with their bipolar STPMTR23079D Stepper motor rated at 1.1 ohm, 2.8 amp per phase and 1.8 degree per step. The setup is a 24 volt rotary encoder 600 PPR AB quad that is turned 1 revolution per 6” of measured travel of the machine. We have a large “clock” dial that shows 24” of travel that the stepper motor directly turns. It has been programmed for 9600 pulse per revolution AB quadrature following and seems to follow the movement quite well. The issue that we having is several times a day the power is shut off to the machine and the stepper upon startup moves to the closest full step which looks to be about 3/8”. We need to save its location or at least keep the dial close to its current mircostep if possible. Do I have something set-up wrong? Should I be using a different drive? Thanks in advance!
