Hello! I have a Dynapro ET3170W touchscreen terminal from which I would like to upload the screen configurations. I have tried Google searches and not found anything except user manuals. 3M has not been any help either. Can anyone tell me if there is a software program to do an upload or what I would need software wise to do it? I saw something mentioned in the application developer's manual about a TCS software package, but have not been able to find anything about it. This is really the only hurdle left in the project I am working on, as a Maple Systems or Direct Automation terminal can do the same thing as the Dynapro, I just need to know what commands are sent from the various screens. Thank you in advance for any help.

Does anyone here use this? Control Draw If so how useful do find it? Worth spending the time on learning or better off with another product? If so what? My application is going to be for in-house management and design of control systems for a food manufacturing plant. Thanks.

I purchased a couple of C28P units on Ebay, thinking they were I/O units which I could connect to my C28K. Unfortunately, when I tried to use syswin software to enter a ladder program into the units, I got rejected by the software. Can someone tell me what software I need to communicate with C28P. Im having some trouble with a PLC and looking for a some help. Whats happening is output number 3 is stuck on. I thought maybe it was just the PLC. I pulled the program tried it on a new PLC with no luck. I checked for faults and the handheld shows no major faults. The output that is stuck on is for a door, its telling it that the door is open. Any help would be great.

Hi everyone, I need some help with my PLC programming. I am currently using a twincat 2 software and a Beckhoff CX 8090. Basically, the gist of my program is to send and receive data and datalog the input data received from the sensors and timestamp the received data for every 1 second. I want to create a boot up counter where it will count the number of times my data logging program has restarted(if it did). This boot up counter serves as a health monitoring check to ensure that my program is running perfectly and thus, not restarting randomly when it shouldn't. I am more familiar with structured text so if you have a solution, kindly post it in structured text form. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, DeadPool

I am in the learning phase of HMI and PLC programing and am trying to use some of the hardware that has been donated to me. I have an AB panelview 300 micro terminal and a Micrologix 1000 Plc (they are not tethered yet). I have constructed a small test board with everything mounted to it and have successfully written and downloaded a simple project to the plc with timers, etc. Now I need to find a way to program the terminal to make changes to the program. I am looking for some free panelbuilder 32 or anything that will allow me to program the terminal and use it. Can anyone help me? All help will be greatly appreciated!
