  1. CP1E won't connect or run program

    Hi there! Today a CP1E-E10DR-D suddenly stopped working. RUN led was off and I couldn't connect to it via USB getting this error: "Selected port does not exist. Select proper port number from Change PLC dialog and press OK button", and automatic online function didn't work as well(it's not a cable/driver problem since I successfully connected to a CJ2 CPU using same cable and PC). Since I also tried to connect with the CPU outside the control cabinet with no success, I asume there is something wrong at hardware level.  My question is, have you ever faced something like this? My plan is to try to revive it somehow (maybe trying to locate any defective component in the PCBs or something). So I was just wondering if you have any advice in order to achieve it.  Thanks in advance!

  2. Issue with S 7 300

    Hi i have a s7 300 cpu used in a machine operation but we have an error SF led (red) is constantly on however nachine runs fine in this condition but sometimes the machine just stops dead and nothing at all works at such times the BF led also turns on. Then we turn the power of of the Plc and then tun the power back on and then BF Led goes away but SF led still remains on But as i said in that condition machine runs just fine  Please suggest what to check for this issue  thanks and regards

I need a basic instruction on how the followering button setup, could be done on the HMI, preferable with exaples or tutorials etc. !!! I´m working with the current setup: NX1P2, using Sysmac Studio, Module version 1.25.1.0, along with a NA5-Terminal, version 1.18 !!!  START_VALVE_1_BUTTON = Toggle, Momentary, Set or ?? - (Need the START_VALVE_1_BUTTON to activate ON_BUTTON & OFF_BUTTON flashing, indicating selection option, ON or OFF, meaning activating start valve 1 mode, or deactivate the mode).   9. I want to create a database that keeps track of all of the different PLC and automation hardware (Remote I/O, Flex I/O, Robots, etc.). It would include data such as firmware version, when the backup battery was last replaced, location, etc. I have started doing this in MS Access but I was curious if anyone knew of an existing software that already does something similar?

Dear all Please identify me i am having one Issue in my PLC.When I changed the IP of my plc then suddenly its showing error ERH its mean IP address wrong but  My CPU setting is same like previous means unit no=0, x16^0=0 ,Node=x16^0=1  and IP is 192.168.0.15 Mask add.255.255.255.0. but when I, transfer to PLC (in Program Mode) its not transferred(Failed to Transfer) please rectify me where I am doing wrong.
  11. I have entered the messages many times into the Alarm Setup but every time i re-open the alarm setup, every message that has the Trigger Value=1 will be deleted.  Anyone have a similar issue?

  17. IFIX Problem

    I have restored a crashed IFIX to a new PC. The restore is ok and installed GE9 driver. With the GE9 power tools, we can observed that data transmits and recieve. The problem is that the screen scada is not updating i.e. no status/feedback, anything is happening. The LAN network TCP/IP was configured i.e. IP, subnet and gateway. Any remedies/advice is most welcome. Please provide a guide on the communication/configuration setup. Thanks

    Dear All, I really appreciate in advance your help in this problem. This is my first project with Mitsubishi PLC. I am using GX Works 2 for programming. Hardware is FX2G-24M base unit + FX2n-16EX extension module. I already started a new program and download simple rung on PLC, put PLC in run mode, test it and working properly. the problem is that I do not know what is the address of inputs of extension module. I tried to complete and use X016 but no response in PLC. kindly advise what shall I do. Thanks

  20. Hi. I have a ST-Lite Ethernet base (STL-ETH1) with 1 16 bit digital in card, 3 digital out cards, 2 analog in and 2 analog out cards. I have a Q03UDE CPU (Q PLC) with 1 16bit digital in and 1 digital out card. Now I like to setup the remote I/O (STL-ETH1) mapped to the Q PLC via the ethernet port on the CPU. Is it possible not to use Modbus at all. I don't want to go and buy a Modbus Ethernet card now. Have someone done this before?
  21. I need to set up D/A module. I have few questions. What is the difference between offset and gain setting mode? I would like to use range 0 to 10V which would have to be set as user range setting, can I do it using GX Works 2? Or do I have to use the GX Configurator-DA package?
