  1. Industrial automation

Hello! I am doing a project for an industry to make the sensor tools wireless. I am new to PLC. is it possible to make the measuring tools with sensors wireless with PLC? does it work on a industry environment and what kind of technology is best for comminucation? wifi or bluetooth?   The existing sensors are connected with wires to a screen which says if the product is ok or not ok. I need to make this wireless. Any suggestions to make it easy?   please suggest me the boards to buy to try prototyping.
  2. Can we interface the arduino sensors like HC-SR04 an ultrasonic sensor that gives a PWM as output. Can it be read on PLC by any means ? How we can read the Discrete values of Ultrasnonic sensor on PLC ? any one who knows Kindly guide I'm working on Fatek PLC FBs 24 MAR-AC
  3. I'm looking for some general information about different types of vibration/temperature sensors. What type, brand, model number, etc. will best fit my application.  Scenario: I want to monitor the vibration and temperature of multiple motors and gearboxes for a large overhead conveyor system. If an oil leak occurs and temperature increases, I want to see a temp. alert via a HMI. If a something mechanical fails, I want to see a vibration alert via a HMI.  I've looked into sensors that stick to the outside housing of the motors or gearboxes via a magnet. My concern is justifying the temperature readings. How accurate would a sensor that reads an "ambient" temperature be (compared to a thermocouple on the motor coil itself or some sort of probe)? Also, would the location of the magnet  on the motor or gearbox drastically affect the temp. or vib. readings? Has anyone had success with a similar setup? If so, what devices did you utilize? Are these systems truly beneficial?  I'm currently considering Banner's wireless products...
  4. Logo!8 sensor compatibility/display

Hi there,  I am brand new to the world of PLCs. I'm working on a project and we will be using the LOGO! 8. We will be monitoring a tractor's ground speed, wheel speed, (wheel slip using those two), oil pressure, tachometer, EGT, and system voltage.  As I said, I'm brand new to all of these things. Any tips or advice to get started? Or things to avoid? Specifically when choosing sensors. Also, we were thinking of a tablet to display these measurements in real time. Any suggestions? I was thinking the Simatic HMI touchscreen may be a better option for compatibility. This will be on a competition tractor, though. From experience, how durable/rugged are these displays? It would mostly be subjected to dirt, vibrations, and quick jerks.  Any advice to help guide my Googling adventures would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you.
  5. Analog module configurations

hai everyone im new to this forum, i hope this forum will clear all my doubts about plc Ok Guys my doubt is How  to connect two, three, four wire sensors to S7 PLC's? Please help me guys im new to PLC Controlling Thank you.
  6. EMS provides low cost analog sensors useful for PLC analog inputs. For example the $25 temperature sensor (+/- 2%) is a useful and inexpensive way to monitor for an over temperature condition in a panel cabinet. emssensors.com AC voltage and current transmitters can be a useful way to monitor motor performance. Even the sound level sensor can be a good way to generate an alarm condition for a bearing failure.
  7. I have helium cylinder. I want to have a control application where the process should stop when the pressure in the cylinder decreases to certain level. Can any one help me to find the right sensor? or application to do this. Thank you, SKR.
