  4. PME Function block

Hello Colleagues. I have to develop some PLC program for GE Rx3i. I'm a little bit confused with PME function block. As i understand parametrized block in PME it's Function at Siemens, Mitsubishi and others PLC's brands and it cannot use data memory inside. Classic FB in PME has 4 type for inputs Reference, Constant Reference, Value, Value Result. When i need use this types of input? As i understand analogy between PME and for example step7 or gx works:   - "Value" - input variable   - "Reference" - Input/output variable   But i don't understand how use "constant reference" and "value result". Explanation of it in has help, but don't provided any examples.   PME doesn’t provide any PLC simulators and i don't have real PLC, so can't test it in work.   Second question about UDT variables. I created UDT type for example for sensor, then created variable based on this UDT, but i can't set reference address for this variable. how put this variable to Scada or HMI without addresses?
  5. Failed Uploading the Logic from GE PLC RX3i

Hi Everyone, I'm in a maintenance team in a factory, I need to upload an existing PLC program for backup purposes. The existing PLC is (IC695CPU310) (With only two serial ports 1 & 2). I don't know in which version the program was developed and downloaded to the PLC but the factory was established in 2009, so I used PME Ver. 7.5 (to be sure of having a newer version). I have installed the PME in a laptop with Windows XP SP3 which have a built-in serial port. I used the Horner Electric mini converter cable (HE693SNP232A) to connect with the PLC port 2. I was able to go online but the LED of port 2 in CPU was not steady on all the time, it was on for most of the time but going off for a short time frequently. I put the CPU in stop mode and I could successfully uploading the hardware configuration but when I tried to upload the logic it goes to offline mode and gave me the following message: "Failed to upload or process Symbolic Memory Table. Please contact technical support". Then I connected the PME with port 1 (RS232), the LED of port 1 was steady on. When I started uploading the logic, most of the subroutines were uploaded subsequently but could not complete the uploading. Before completing the upload I received the following message: "Machine Edition Executable has encountered a problem and needs to close" and then PME was closed automatically. Anyone can help on how can I resolve this issue ?

Updated Clock logic and HMI screen simple and well documented. To use this, 'Import' this 'Toolchest' Drawer file into your PMC's Toolchest. Then 'Copy' one of the Ladder Blocks into your 90-30 or PAC Rx3i Target by holding down the Ctrl key while drag-n-dropping it onto the 'Program Blocks' in the Navigator window. The QuickPanel Screen along with the 'Indexed Message Grid'  can similarly be brought into your QP or QP+ Target. If there is already variables in your project you may need to adjust some or all of those used here. The logic here also will help you to understand the Array_Move Function blocks in PME.
