  1. I'm having trouble in finding a complete manual instruction and set-up on setting up a communication on a Q-series PLC to a inverter a700/a800 via RS-485. I have a manual for fx series, are the parameters the same as the fx series? how about the program, like  starting or stopping the motor? Are they same or not? In the Q-series, do i leave switch-5 "station no. setting" blank? i just started this so i hope that i can make this work after new year.     hello everyone using gt designer 3, got 2000 series and IQ-R series want confirm something. it`s possible to edit comment group (that use for history, fault,etc)  directly on GOT using GOT tool or object or script? for script, searching on gs, gd list but find nothing. where the comment group is saved? thank you

  7. HMI not recognized via PC

    I am trying to connect HMI( GS Series) to Laptop but every time it says " Device not recognized ".  Tried changing the port, Laptop, whole HMI.  It was working for 2-3 times after installation of new software( both Windows and GX Designer). Tries uninstalling and installing GX designer. Pls help.

I try to read Analog Data in PLC Master through Salve Module (ECT-21) but i dont see any data, with an Digital Module i can read and write, but with analogic module i can't do anything. The analog module works perfect, i have 4-20ma Simulator and work fine. Modules: PLC: NJ501-1300 Slave: ECT-21 Analog: ADO81-V1 Can u help me? Regads..
  9. Highlighted line in GX Developer

    Working in GX Developer Version 8.107M, some of the code that I have been working with seems to be hidden.  It appears that the lines turn highlighter yellow, keeping me from viewing code.  I've looked into this and cannot find a solution.  Does anyone know how to expand the code? Thank you.
  10. Hi, I have a question about error clear on Mitsubishi Q Series (Q03UDE). Is there a way to clear 4100 error without power cycle CPU??? I've cleared the cause of the problem and I've tried to clear CPU error using SM50. I've put code 4100 into SD50 and then turned SM50 off and then on again, but CPU is still in ERROR state and I cannot switch it back on into RUN mode. I have to turn the power off then on again and that is solving the problem. The problem is that sometimes it is very hard to get to control cabinet to power cycle CPU. I would like to clear this error remotely if possible. Any ideas???
  11. Help with CC - Link IE Field

    Hi Im working with an iQ-R CPU wich controls 6 conveyors with a CC-Link IE Field Network, the CC-Link module is a RJ71EN71. Each conveyor has a remote I/O (NZ2GF2B1-16TE Digital outputs main module with a NZ2EX2B1-16D extension for Digital Inputs). The communication in the CC - Link IE Field diagnostic appears to be OK, but I can´t send or receive IO signals from the Batch Monitor of Gx Works 3. Thanks for your attention!
  12. Convert int to float

      I'm trying to read a result from encoder (which in pulse) and convert it to milimeter. To do that, i need to devide it. But here is the problem when i move the result of the encoder read to register (D) then devide it with another register, it doesn't show result in the monitor. It looks like i need to convert it to float first, but i dont know how. My command for the division is DEDIV D17 D40 D22. is there anyway to solve it? Thanks, i really need this. I try to look in the forum but i dont found it. I'm using mitsubishi FX3U-48 MT ESS. I'm new in this forum, if i break a rule, please tell me.   
  13. Hello all, I have 7 Q series PLCs on a Melsec net/h network, Ladder Programming none of that fancy smancy ST stuff LOL. Were running the QJ71LP21-25. Now to keep it short I have used all most all my devices in my Network Range Assignment. I can not set up low speed range as I do not have enough Link relays and registers at all stations. No memory for more devices just trust that I can not do it... However I have an abundance of File Registers ( no I cant buy B or W in the PLC File params, well I can but it wont help because only one CPU is UDE the rest are H.) I have a project in which I must see about 50 words for each Station at every Station. I figured while I am setting up a Transient Transfer I will make a bunch of extra room for future updates and junk. My answer good or bad, is to set up some Send/Recv commands and do some Transient Transfer. I think I have it just about all figured out just a few questions. I have two manuals I have been getting my info from Q MELSECNET/H Network System Reference Manual ( I think SHNA080049)  and the Melsecnet/h training manual.  1.Any one have any better manuals that better cover transient transfer? Or that are new enough to mention GX Works2 instead of Developer? 2. Is there a max device for each send/recv? (I keep thinking it is 980 per station but no idea where I got this number)( I will increase the max # of transients in the supplementary settings under network range...) 3. Any precautions or advice like, Hey don't do this, I did this once and.... 4. It looks like as long as I use different logical channels for each station I should be able to send and receive multiple "messages" at once with no error?? (I will test this and look for the "no room in receive buffer area f222 error)  5. Will this slow down the Cyclic transfers (I will be watching the SW006D and so on to make sure it does not slow my regular transmission down.) 6. I will be using several special relays and registers in the program of course. Any I should use that are not obvious?  
  14. We have L61's and L63's and are looking at upgrading them to the L7 equivalent. Has anyone had any experience of this and any pitfalls to avoid? Tech support have said that there might be issues with the comms cards resolved by updating their firmware. Is the upgrade that simple? We currently use Logix5000 at version 20.01 but are preparing to go to Studio5000 as part of the upgrade.

Please if anyone can help me, recently I installed a redundancy in my Factory View V8.20 server, but started to show some errors: My alarm banner and event simply disappeared and now I can not read tag from my opc server (KeepServer Modbus), I see this tag in the studio, but at runtime they do not communicate. * Patches are up date.   18. I have entered the messages many times into the Alarm Setup but every time i re-open the alarm setup, every message that has the Trigger Value=1 will be deleted.  Anyone have a similar issue?
  19. Has anyone discovered a laptop that will connect to all mitsi PLC types (and Melfa Robots) via MELSOFT TCP connection. My Dell 5510 seems to have the most random dislike for this kit. at the moment it is happy to link to Q series but wont touch FX at the moment (this has not always been the case). I have checked all basics I know; 1. Pinging 2. Port setting to Melsoft 3.  Direct connection to FX3U-ENET avoiding the unmanaged switch (altering settings to suit). 4. Using FX Configurator to try and diagnose,checking the module settings in the project. 5. Disabling laptop wifi connections 6. Disabling firewall and AV. 7. Trying to setup a UDP connection (this seemed to work on Q series) Pffff..... Any thoughts?....I am obliged to use a site networked laptop so there maybe IT issues....however due to my ongoing frustration I will order a laptop and use offline like a wild man
  20. The title of this probably makes no sense, but I really wasn't sure what to call this thread. I'm working on a program for a Q Series, using ladder with labels.  This machine is going to have several status messages for the operator displayed on the HMI at the same time.  If I can figure this out my plan is to have a string display in the footer of a Proface HMI, with a "view next message" button.  Then I will write strings to the display giving the operator the status information and they will be able to press the next button to view the message- alternatively I could have a timer also that will auto refresh the display to the next message.     What I can't figure out, is how to queue the messages and have them wait for the button press or the timer to activate their MOV statement.  Essentially, I need to advance a register by one every time the "next" command is given- but if that status message is not active then I need to immediately skip to the next message.   I've thought about just incrementing a data register, but then how do I skip non-active messages?

  24. Set, Reset issue

    Good morning good people of the blog. I have a situation where I have a set, reset for, lets say, a fan.  We press manual and it sets the coil, we press Auto and it resets the coil.  Here is my problem...when we set the fan to auto, it will stay there for about 20sec or so then the coil will set itself again and go back to manual.  While watching this occur in the logic I cannot see the contact actually engage the set command. I have gone thru the logic and cannot see what could possibly change the bool back to a 1.  Any takers on this one? -James

We have two factories .In one factory have this Mitsubishi plc system (LOCAL Location ) .So from other factory (Remote Location ) I want to check some plc data via internet using some interface (Ex visual studio interface )  .It is mean I want to remotely check some data (machine production units ,machine speed and etc )  . I have plc program and plc software .   So what i want to add external modules to this system .?   How can i implement my design ?.   . I m appreciate ur immediate reply .       Thank you.   Tharindu
