Hi all, Does anybody have experienced problem with communication while connecting 32k and 16k plcs to same SCADA via factory talk linx? Does anybody have got problem with communication while RSView32 and FTView were used simultaneously with same plcs in different pcs with different shortcut names? -
Hello all, I am a beginner with PLCs programming. I have an issue on GX Developer programming software from Melsoft trying to program my Mitsubishi Q-series PLC. CPU is Q03UDCPU. When the program is written and I try to upload it to the PLC, with the write to PLC window, I check -Program -- MAIN and -Prameter -- PLC/Network/Remote, click EXECUTE and a message appears : "Device point that is set in parameter is not match the device point in PLC". I can't fix it. In Parameter - PLC Parameter - Q parameter setting (window) - I/O assignment tab : I have (see image). Whe I use CHECK button it says there is no error. The X41 input device is plugged on slot 1/00. I am making this folowing the instructions a PDF I found on the Mitsubishi electric's wesite : Q-series basic course (for GX Developer). Thanks for the help, A. S.

Hello all, I´ve seen quite a number of similar posts regarding this topic, but none seems to address this problem in particular. I have an FX3G-40M, with a FX3U-ENET module. I could establish a successful connection to the PLC via RS232. My problem arises when trying to configure the ethernet module (which I want to use for remote monitoring of the PLC program). I've followed every step in configuring the connection. But when I attempt to do the WRITE operation (via RS232), I get the following indication: "The module which supported this function is not found. Please execute again after confirming the module". I can ping the module (as it has the factory IP 192.168.1.254), but can´t seem to download the configuration properly. When I plug the Ethernet cable, a green led lits up, and another one starts blinking. I´ve found numerous posts regarding this issue, but all of them had a FX3U-ENET-L module. (And the solution was simply to use another configuration software). The software I'm using: - GX Developer-FX Version 8.91V - FX Configurator-EN Version 1.30 Any hint you can give me of what can be causing this issue, will be very much appreciated. Kind Regards Martin

Hi all, Iam currently working with a migration project from Rsview32 to FTView. I was able to convert the RSView32 SCADA to FTView successfully. Current scenario is like RSView32 (which was the existing pcs) SCADA is running in two stand alone PCs and Iam trying to line up the new Factory talk view SCADA in another system.Communication is taken from same ethernet switch to which all ethernet cables from 5PLCs in the field are terminated and from which RSView32 scada has taken itz communication. PLCs used there are 2 No.of 1747 L532E slc 5/03 OS302 Ser c Frn 10 & later and 3 Nos of 1747 L533E slc 5/03 OS302 aer c Frn 10 & later. communication taken via net eni (1761 NetEni) Ftview installed system is Windows 10 pro OS) Issue is while RSView32 scada is working properly, Factory talk view is not getting neither online tags nor able to play display for those linked with L533E processor. But everything is fine with L532E processor. I just tried with downloading L533E program to L532E processor and everything was getting. So am i missing something or what should i do to get proper communication with L533E processor. plz help..Iam a beginner in this field.

Hey everyone! New member here, and this site has always been a big help! I try to help other folks too, but a lot of guys are super quick on here. I've got a problem using some obscure components. I inherited a sensor network at work that uses Panasonic S-Link and I need to read them from a Q-Series. Panasonic makes a module that slots into the Q Series called an SL-VMEL-Q that I have. My question is: Did I do everything correctly on my Mitsubishi side? I put it into the parameters as an intelligent module with 64 points and I put the correct address in for the start I/O. Is that all I have to do? This is the first time I used a module that wasn't on the drop down list when you add one in GX Works 2. I can read and write to the buffer memory, but I can't get the unit to send to or receive from the sensors. I think the problem is that there is no end unit on the S-Link line (I don't know if it's just a terminating resistor or what), but it previously worked without one, so I can't be certain.

Hi everyone, I am trying to use Kepware to communicate with my PLC setup which is the iQ-R Series R08PCPU. I read the documentation which is available at https://www.kepware.com/getattachment/3daf1ac3-5c76-49ce-bbfe-f0fb1015f6cc/mitsubishi-ethernet-manual.pdf I read through the setup for Kepware and the setup procedure for iQ-R series but it still didn't work. From the documentation, it said something about "using special ladder logic to enable ethernet communications is required.", I couldn't find anything about this online. Here what I did in addition to the documentation: - Enabled IP Packet Transfer - Ping the PLC's IP Address which was successful Does anyone have any idea what I didn't do to establish that communication between Kepware and R08PCPU? Thank you in advance.

Hi guys, I am an Electrical engineer on a cruise ship. I have a mixer (galley equipment) that is controlled by a FX1S-10MR PLC. It uses HMI F930GOT-BWD-E. Recently we found the PLC to be malfunctioning and replaced it with a new one from our stock. The new one is FX3S-10MR. Now, when i try to increase or decrease the speed via the HMI, the PLC doesn't respond; infact, the inverter just maintains a single frequency. The PLC is "supposed" to be pre-programmed by the manufacturer of the Mixer. I have very less knowledge of PLCs and sorry if i come across as stupid. I have been reading a bit lately. Do you think it would work if i can copy the program (from the FX1S PLC of another working mixer) by using GX works2 / GX developer software and write it on this new FX3S model ? What will happen if i change the type of PLC of this FX3S model to FX1S (just speculating since it's working find with FX1S). Today i tried to view the program inside this FX3S plc on GX developer and it does have a program. I am clueless though why it's not working with the HMI. Kindly, provide me with some guidance. TIA.

Hello I have an old test rig (hydraulic cylinder applies pressure to a crank in sawtooth pattern) project written in gx developer for the Q03 plc. To this plc is connected a 1041 beijer panel, I have uploaded the project to E-designer. I am rewriting the sequence code because a new but similar test is prepared. Have a PID-block in gx works 2 (not in a simple project sadly) i would like to import and use in gx developer. This is causing me some trouble though. Can anyone tell me how to get the PID-blocks from GX Works 2 to GX Developer? Do you recommend me to upgrade the project to GX Works 2 instead? How will the panel react? I need to reprogram this as well. Cheers // Rolf

Modbus address register exchange between Melsec-Q series PLC and ME96SSHA-MB Power meter
RV3.0 posted a topic in Mitsubishi
Please assist me with the following; regarding the ME96SSHA-MB Power meter data transition with Melsec-Q series PLC; We acquire to read various values on dedicated Modbus storage address registers at the simultaneous into a Melsec-Q series PLC via Modbus (TCP or RTU) for calculation purposes. Naturally, since the reading of these variables are to provide accurate instantaneous results, it is a requirement that these values are to be read at one scan. However, as can be seen below, there is a gap in address register range – of which, if all of these are scanned simultaneously, yields an exception error when read. This error is only avoided by scanning these data sets separately – which is not ideal for our application – since accuracy in calculations is imperative.- 2 replies

Hi, there! I had got GX-Developer Ver.8, which is very different from the plc programs that I have learned before. I have read many tutorials and watch it but I still don't know how to start ladder logic test. Many other people simply click on 'start or end ladder logic test' but mine was greyed. Anyone has solution? Or I just missed a couple steps of simulation? Though it is very basic problem, I will put a deep gratitude for your reply.

Studio 5000 version 23 and Factory talk ME version 8.10
Cegge posted a topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
This is my first time to the forum and I am still very new to plc programming. I just had to move all of our software over to a new computer ( kind of new) it's running windows 7 pro. The same is as the computer before. Same computer name, same I'm, same file directory. However when I add tags in studio 5000 and reference them in the HMI, it says it is unresolved in route to the processor. It only does this for the new tags. I used the same shortcut and everything so I am at a complete loss here. What do I do.- 3 replies

Hey guys, been looking around for a solution and I was brought here. I'm a programmer at a place that just put in a bunch of these Mitsubishi Q series QJ71e71-100 ethernet controllers. I wrote a TCP server in Java to try and talk to them. I'm trying to get data sent over from a little GOT1000 test terminal. The zp.open command is working fine and i'm seeing a good syn-ack handshake, and if i push some text to the plc from the program I get a response (even if it is always the same nonsense). but when i try to use the zp.send it fails, I get error C1A6 on the ladder program and the q series lights up the comm error light. I know I'm being super vague here, I was just hoping to gain some insight. I don't much know what to expect from this forum if you guys are active or if my question even has an answer but i've been banging my head against the wall for days now. I'm just using a tutorial program from the q series manual and a super basic tcp handler in java. If there's any other information I can provide let me know.
