  1.   I would like to ask you more experienced people for advice and possible suggestions. I would need to ensure communication between two devices. The first device, it only handles communication via the MODBUS RTU (RS-485) protocol, this device should be a "slave". The second device ("master"), I assume some kind of PLC, communication via the PROFIBUS protocol. Do you have any types of converters for this format, or other solutions? Thank you.
  2. Problem: I am getting a control sync fault on 2 recently installed kinetix 5500 but only when my programing PC is connected to the machine network.  Install and setup all went great over a 5 day period.  Then all of a sudden I started to get this fault. Sometimes 100 times in an hour.  As soon as I go offline, and unplug my PC the problem goes away.  I have also tried another PC connected to the Machine network and still get the same result.  Sometimes machine can run for hours with my PC connected with no problem.  I do not have to be online with controller for fault to occur. Setup: I have the 2 K5500's ethernet ports daisy chained together, and then connected via shielded CAT 6 cable directly to port 2 of the Compact Logix Controller Coarse Update is set to 3.5ms and utilization's are at 33% and below.(I have tried the default 2ms with same results) Ethernet modules are configured with FW rev 7.013. Machine network is isolated.(not connected to plant network or internet) Equipment: Compact logix L33ERM Running version 30.01. There are a total of four servos in this system all running over ethernet.  2 Kinetix 350's(not affected), and 2 kinetix 5500's. I have tried: separate ethernet cables for each drive ran through a switch different ethernet cables resetting coarse update speed connecting a different PC for programming   I am just not sure where else to go with this.  Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. We are getting a processor watchdog fault on a kinetix 5500 but I cant seem to find any information on the cause of this particular issue.  Has anyone ever seen this before? Thanks guys
  4. Hi there! I've been looking for some fault codes table for the 1734-AENTR adapters, since I'd like to show a message in HMI with some information when there is a faulty adapter, but I haven't found anything on the internet. So my question is, is there any type of table like this for these adapters? Right now I have a PLC with some AENTR adapters in the program for testing, and since there is actually no adapter connected to it, I can see a 16#2024 error in the module properties, but can't seem to find that info in the module variables.   Do you guys have any clue on how to find this information in order to show it?   Thanks in advance!
  5. Hello Experts Fault LED is blinking in Red in Allen Bradley Micro Logix 1400 PLC Can someone please advice on how to fix this & probable reasons ? Can trial version of communicating software be downloaded?
  6. Cx Configurator FDT issue with profibus

Hi guys, We're replacing a failed danfoss VlT2800 VSD with an FC280 that's running on profibus, having issues with the comms. Profibus master is a CJ1W-PRM21, PLC is a CJ2M-CPU34. Talking to the Danfoss rep it sounds like we need to add the new GSD file to the network config. I can see the master on CX-configurator FDT and shows the status of all the slave drives,  The problem is that I don't have the original config file and when I try to scan the network I get the attached error.     My thinking is that because the firmware on the master is V3.01, and the one in the client is only 2.xx it's giving me the error. Thinking I need to update the software (currently on like v2.5?). I'm pretty new to profibus so I'm not sure if this is the right line of thinking but help would be really appreciated.   Cheers
  7. Hello everyone, I want to use my own computer as plc. I have a molex brand SST-PB3-PCU SST card. I will connect my I/O modules to the profibus adapter, then I will connect the adapter to the SST card. Can Codesys see this SST card and if so how do I make the connection. I can connect this type of connection in the InControl (an old software) program that I used before.  Please Help Me!! The Board I use to connect the I/Os to the computer: SST-PB3-PCU  Profibus Adapter to which I connect I/Os: 1794-APB | Allen Bradley PROFIBUS Adapter Module My I/O Modules: Allen Bradley 1794-IB16 and 1794-OB16 My OS: Win10 64 bit Codesys Version: CODESYS V3.5 SP18 Patch 3
  8. Hello guys, How can I output the I/Os by plugging the Hilscher Brand Card into the PCI input of the computer using Codesys as SoftPLC. Is something like this possible? I'm waiting for feedback from friends who have worked on this issue before. Can you help me?
  9. 1769-IT6

Hi all. I have a 1769-IT6 thermocouple/mv input module. It is connected to a micrologix 1500 unit. The green okay light illuminates on power up, but after you download the program and put it in run mode the processor faults. Terminal block with the cjc's are on the unit. The error message just says the I/O module has encountered an error. The hex code under status bit 6 is 179h. This error code is not in the manual. Has anyone else encountered this? Oh and I only have channel 0 enabled for type k thermocouple. Has anyone else had this issue, or know if it is a configuration issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
  10. Can USB-A2 connect PLC through PROFIBus? Can profibus connect sub-stations directly for diagnosis?   There is a 3152dp, which communicates with the sub-station through dp, and it is inserted into the dp head of cpu. It is not connected by automatic mode, but can be inserted into mpi port. Do you need any Settings?
  11. Error PLC S7-300

Hi all, My system is using PLC S7-300. Now, it is being SF fault. I followed the manufacturer's sf error instructions. I replaced the CPU Module, but it is still fault. Diagnostic of Simatic announced I/O can't access for reading and writing. Please give a solution, thanks Sincerely.

  13. Unconverted Ladder Code?

Hi All, Please see attached screenshot: Whenever I want to save the ladder program or start simulation, this window pops-up. If I press 'yes' I loose the whole work. I tried to open existing program and modify it, but it did the same. When I clicked 'yes' I lost all modification and just the original program remained. (I made the program in the morning, opened and saved many times but it started popping this window later.) I work with FXCPU series, FX3U/FX3UC type, simple project in ladder. This worked well but now is not anymore. I use Melsoft GX Simulator! Can anyone advise why this is happening? It is very annoying! It is pointless to work on anything now! Many thanks
  14. Hi Guys, My first post on here and a relative newcomer to Step 7. I have acquired a CPU-315-2 DP and an Omron GRT1 Profibus and i am trying to configure the two together, I have installed the GSD from Omron and set it at Add 16 as well as adding the smart slice modules. For now the GRT1 just indicates BF. Do I set up the Profibus communication system function blocks, if so is there a guide available? I think this is where i am getting unstuck?
  15. Hi everyone, I got a compressor with a CJ2M PLC13 and CJ1W-PRT21 for profibus-dp slave. The manufactor just give me the io list without profibus-dp configuration, then I can't set up my profibus master to communicate with the slave. I contact the local office of OMRON and have been tell that they have not ever use a CJ1W-PRT21, and just give me some documents. I want to know if I can upload the profibus-dp parameters from the PLC? and if yes, if it could be done without a password.  Thanks and regards.
  16. Hello guys, I have an application with a Delta PLC (slave), Load cell module and Delta HMI.  The problem is that the Delta PLC has to report to the already existing platform of Siemens S7 PLC (Master) with Profibus. The Master (Siemens) writes and reads data from the Delta PLC. The question is, how can I set up the Profibus communication? Are there any documentations about the Memory Mapping, configuration etc. There are some modules for Profibus Slave from Delta but I cannot find any references or anything. Thanks in advance.
  17. FX5U and SEW inverter over profibus

Hi, I am not very experienced with PLC's. Now I should control a few SEW movitrac inverters with a profibus connection. The PLC is an FX5U with an FX5U-DP-M communication module. I managed to get the network settings up and running. But I don't know how to make a program to control them. Would anyone have a sample program that could help me to get strarted?
  18. I have an analog output card 1734-OE2V. As a default, there is selected fault mode as 'Go to Low Clamp'. I am using output range -10V to 10V. What is the value for Low Clamp. Is it 0V or -10V? If I want it to be 0, do I need to select 'use fault value' and set the fault value to '0'.
  19. Question from a PLC newbie....  We had a "blip" during a thunderstorm where we saw multiple signals on a 1734-IB8S point I/O transition from true to false for ~ 4 seconds (based on our DCS history from a serial connection).  There are several other modules on the backplane, and we only saw state change on this one card.  The 24VDC power is sourced from T-0 for points 0-3, and T-2 for points 4-7, so we don't suspect a short.  It's been suggested that we either had an I/O card "blip", or temporary loss of power to our field contacts (limit switches) caused by dust/vibration of the removeable terminal block.  Our controller is a 1756-L73S GuardLogix 5570.  My question is should I expect to see an I/O fault in the Minor Fault history (we did not)?  Would an I/O fault necessarily show up in this history, or does it need to be configured somewhere? Our points on this card are set up as single points with test pulse from T-0 and T-2.  We are reading status of limit switches in the field. Thank you in advance for any response. Kathy
  20. I had axis fault, which stopped the PF527. Only way to go on was to switch power off and on again. Checking the faults&alarms, I find out that the reason was Bus Undervoltage user limit. This made 'Immediate Stop' for the PF527. Looking at the parameters, I can not find any parameter for this. In the manual it is said 'DC Bus voltage level is below user defined limit given by Bus Undervoltage User Limit, or device defined limit if the user limit attribute is not supported.' What does it mean?  Is there parameter for this limit? Checking the AXIS_CIP_DRIVE tag parameters, DCBusVoltage is not showing anything, why is that? => Reason found, not marked in 'Axis properties' Cyclic Parameters page

  22. Hi, I have problem with 5069-obv8s, trying to use it for a first time just to power relays and contactors. All outputs are in internal fault, even if their are not conected. The card is set to use single output as safety outputs. Additional power on LA+ and LA- ports is connected. I don't know what else should I checked to fix this problem. There is no problem in controler or this specific module just on all of outputs. Hope someone will be able to help.
