Hello guys, I need help. I have an OMRON PLC; CJ2M series which I am not very familiar with. I need to do comparisons, but I see that do that I can't just compare with a value. It looks to me that I have to store the value I need to use to compare in a memory address and reference to the memory address for my comparison. Is it possible for me to compare using a value and not have to first go through a memory address? Is there a way to use the instruction to store the value in a memory location ? Or do I specifically have to use CX-Designer for me to wrote the value to a memory location? Thanks in advance.

Logix Designer - Failed to Create Module Profile

Hi PLC programmers, I got a problem regarding my installation of Logix Designer/Logix5K. Here's the situation... a) Initially installed Studio 5000 without problem. b) I needed to open a program from Logix v20.1, installed RSLogix5k v20.1. After installing v20.1, RSLogix was corrupted and won't open program. c) Reinstalled entire Logix Software. d) Was able to open and convert program from Logix5k v20.1 to Logix Designer v24 but this annoying error occured on v24 (See attached "EN2T")... "Failed to Create Module Profile". All of a sudden, the module (1756-EN2T) I created with working v24 is no longer usable. Now, even when I create a new project, add a module with "Select Module Type", the list of available modules has been trimmed down to what it normally has (see attached "AB_Modtype"). Kept on re-installing entire Logix 3 times, clearing the registry with CCleaner and even deleted installation folder for Rockwell software but the problem is never gone. I even downloaded AOP for EN2T and installed it but to no avail. Now I'm lost and dumbfounded that uninstalling and reinstalling isn't working. By the way the OS I'm using is "Windows 7 Enterprise". Hello there, I've done some reading through GT Designer3 Version1 Screen Design Manual (Functions) and in chapter 30.3.6 - Program examples I've found functions used like: redraw_object(); d_circle(params); or acces of object params via script like my.active = 0; my.text_color = 0xE0; So, my question is, does anyone of you have/know about documentation for this advanced stuff, it could be real game changer for me. The production environment has had a CX Supervisor package running since 2006. the internal computer finally bit the dust... We have managed to install XP on another PC. Supposedly it was all installed correctly off site and tested to run OK offsite. When connected to the (PLC) machine CX-Supervisor [v1.33] gives an error 1007. Probably its an communication error. It seems that the back-up runtime version (sr2) was CX Supervisor v.2.1 from which we don't have a hash dongle. We only have a v1.3 version. According to the omron helpdesk, the only thing we can do to test the connections , is to install a v2.x trial version with the .sr2 file. There is no need for a usb-dongle in a trial version and it wil only work for 30 days. That would be sufficient for us, because the repair of the build-in system will take about two weeks. For now a complete production-line is out! In short: We urgently are in need of CX-Supervisor v2.x trial installation package. If anyone knows where to find it, it will be appreciated.

Howdy, So the program I have has linked up and I've downloaded to the Omron NS-10 just fine... other than when I go to certain screens the text from all the descriptor labels are gone. I can't figure out if its a setting or if its just getting lost in transmission somewhere. Halp. Thanks,

I am working on a project with multiple screens, but all of them share the same logo pane at the very top. I don't want to add this panel for each screen. I would rather have the logo pane as a separate screen, and freeze it at the top of each screen. Is this possible?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to use the cam control data by using an MR-J4-A-RJ and MR Configurator 2. When I switch the input "CAMC" to ON, I see that the output "CAMS" is switched to ON which means that the cam mode is activated. When I switch CI0 to ON to choose the Cam Data No.1 and switch ST1 to ON...nothing is happening like if there is no Cam Data. Please, have you any issue or idea ?? Thank you in advance Omar

Hi, I am writing some routines to decode the data from my Input: data array to User-defined Array Parameters. Is that possible to have a generic routine to decode data coming from more than one module? I have two Module ENode and ENode_1. I have defined User-Defined parameters for the module. Can I make a generic routine to decode the data coming from these two modules and put them in the defined arrays? the two arrays ENodeData[0] and ENodeData[1] have the Generic User-Defined parameters. -

hello everyone using gt designer 3, got 2000 series and IQ-R series want confirm something. it`s possible to edit comment group (that use for history, fault,etc) directly on GOT using GOT tool or object or script? for script, searching on gs, gd list but find nothing. where the comment group is saved? thank you

Hi, Is that possible to define INT data type in EDS file so the Tags for the module in RS Logix Designer would receive INT data type in Input Tags not SINT? As marked in the image, the Logix Designer is receiving data as SINT but I want to have INT data type. Thanks Muhammad Azeem

I have a fabric handling system using a CQM1-CPU21. When I started it , I got error # 0x00F1. Also associated with it are bits flagged AR1615 and AR1415. I have the programming code on a PC. I tried an error reset and now I have a stack of NOPs. I am not seeing the IO table using CX-programmer. Thank you.

Hello everyone! Im hoping someone could shed some light on a issue im having. Im having issues with a 1794 ow8 output module. This module is used to control 8 hydraulic cylinders that push biomass into a burner. The overall problem is that roughly once every couple months a output will short in the on state and force a coil on, activating the vavle full time and burning out the coil. Each seperate output is fused on the module with a 2a fuse and each modules incoming power is also fused at 2a. The output that is shorted did not blow its fuse. The 'ON' light is not activated but 120v still runs through it. Since each valve has 2 coils and one is forced 'on' the main fuse will blow once the second half of the valve is activated because the valve is fighting itself. It is not just this one module, this happens on other modules that serve the same funtion as well. This is a contractor installed system but they have been no help so im left trying to figure it out. Could my seperate inputs be fused too high at 2a for this type of card. These are parker valves 120v 60hz with a max 1500psi pushing wet hog/chips. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Good Day There is a SCADA Cimplicity and controller Control logix 5561 AB. Communication between them is organized via Ethernet IP. It is necessary to transfer some tags from the Cimplicity to the controller Control Logix. How to do it better? Through Rslinx DDE OPC or write scripts in the Cimplicity?

hey, I'm making a program with vijeo designer with a HMIGTO5310 and with somachine basic and a TM221C16R. At the moment i don't have my TM221C16R yet but i'm able to run the program in simulation on my pc and connecting the hmi to it. I'm able to control everything on my hmi but the moment i'm trying to activate the webgate, vijeo refuses to download the program to my HMI end gives the error " error 1850: [target] [target1] secondary drive full or not found. check the data file location setting.". Is this because it isn't connected to a real PLc but a simulation of it or is it because something else? -

I was looking for what drivers that should be used when connecting the new FX5U plc with the older E-1000 series (E1100 in this case) in e-designer 7. Intended connection method is ethernet on the FX5 (obviously) to Ethernet on the E-panel. I am sure this question will come up for several users so let's keep this thread as clean as possible. I'm trying to import .gsd files but an error occurs and says : "IntegrationManager: 'xddRootDirectory'-parameter is no valid/exisiting directory !" The second error that shows is : "Path information incorrect: The string C:\users\name.surname\Desktop\GSD\s0100008.gsd is not a valid path." Has anyone encountered this problem and maybe found a solution to it?
