  5. LADDER DIAGRAM UNDERSTANDING

Hye, I new in this plc understanding. For now I have this one ladder diagram that created in mitsubishi GX Developer that I use in winding machine as its plant. But, I have to make the FUNCTION BLOCK DIAGRAM for this part in CX Programmer. Can anyone help me how to construct the FBD in CX Programmer from this ladder diagram understanding . And did it is actually the counter function ? *the picture showed the ladder diagram*

  7. FX3U to FX3U via wifi

Good day fellow PLC ninjas! I have a question/ concern which I would love your opinions on. We have 3 FX3U PLC’s+ENET cards. Two of the 3 PLC’s move around in an EMS trolley. The other is a ‘base station’ with a GOT2000 connected via Ethernet. Base PLC IP = 192.168.1.11 HMI IP = 192.168.1.31 Carrier 1 IP = 192.168.1.61 Carrier 2 IP = 192.168.1.62 I have programmed the base PLC to use Active communication; we are using fixed buffer communication to send and receive data to/ from the Carriers. The carriers are set up as Fullpassive ‘slaves’. This part works well and the update time changes (using a counter in the base station) from 1s to 100ms (because it enters a different work station).  My issue is the following: using a network sniffer (WireShark), I pick up plenty of re-transmits and sequence number errors coming from the base PLC’s ENET card. This is troublesome and causes delays when the update time is required to be fast (100ms). I am sending and receiving 10 words of data. The wifi seems stable, and there is minimal noise in the area. The power has been turned down and the antennas used are suited well for the application. The antennas are at a similar height to minimize possible loss of signal. I have LOS (line-of-sight) to the carriers at all times; to at least one of the antennas (I am using 802.11n). Has anyone picked up issues or found settings which can be used for comms over wifi? I can easily do this using a S7-1200 Siemens PLC and have done so using 12x S7-1200 clients and 2 AP’s with 1 base PLC. I have also successfully done this using 8xFX3U client with a System Q base PLC. My suspicion is that the delay in reading and writing to/ from the BFM in the ENET card is causing this. I am not sure that if I change to a FX5U will help. The communication cards on the Mitsubishi PLC’s seem very limited. Does anyone have any technical details on the access times between the CPU and communications cards’ BFM? Help is as always, appreciated.
  8. Hi, I have a question about error clear on Mitsubishi Q Series (Q03UDE). Is there a way to clear 4100 error without power cycle CPU??? I've cleared the cause of the problem and I've tried to clear CPU error using SM50. I've put code 4100 into SD50 and then turned SM50 off and then on again, but CPU is still in ERROR state and I cannot switch it back on into RUN mode. I have to turn the power off then on again and that is solving the problem. The problem is that sometimes it is very hard to get to control cabinet to power cycle CPU. I would like to clear this error remotely if possible. Any ideas???
  9. When M8029 off ?

i try to use M8029 to be able run pulse in sequence, i mean i can't use regular PLSY or DPLSY, it doesn't work. So i add M8029 to help clear it and make the plc able to make pulse again. But the problem, when the sequence is finish and i need to start again, plc doesn't give pulse again because the memory that set it on is already reset by M8029. how to set it on again or reset the M8029? By the way, i'm using FX3U-48MT. Thanks,I would really appreciate your help.
  10. Dear mrplc and plc experts, I would like to ask for any solution or insight regarding to mitsubishi cpu problem with code: SP.UNIT LAY.MZZ which I could not find any footage/information related to this error Your helps are really appreciated.
  11. I want to do a calculation in the FX3u-48MT ESS and combine it with the input from HMI GOT1020. By the time i put input in the HMI with real number, and i calculate that with some equation just like in the manual as seen in the picture. I was confused when the result in the DINT is too many and in the pulse, it got minus, when it should be plus. Is there any way to fix this ? and how to round up the result correctly ? I really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.
  12. I'm trying to overlay a text figure on top of a bit lamp. You'd think it'd be easy... but no matter what layer I set the lamp to, or how many times I click "Move to back of layer" from "Stacking order" in the right-click menu, the text figure stays behind the lamp. The only reason I'm using a text figure vs. just using the text function of the lamp is because I want the text to be vertical - a feature that you do not have with the text function of a lamp. Any ideas on how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated!
  13. Mr Configurator trouble

Hello good morning, I would like to comment on a case, I have a MR JE A 20 driver, it is connected to a plc and it moves a clamp. The fact is that I have variations of distance until it reaches stops and skips the inverter by overload. Well my question is the following, I want to use the mr configurator, I downloaded it, but it gives me a drawback when I connect it I figure as the driver, but in the program it only appears offline, I can not revert, it will be because the Plc Thank you very much for your reply
  14. Good day Please assist me - pertaining to the QSeries GXWorks2 Programming  - and in particular the utilization of the macrocode functionality. The information required includes; [1] Purpose of macrocode (incl advantages) [2] its utilization's effects on the PLC programming memory (it appears that it consumes more programming memory. [3] any reference documentation that could be used - containing specifically information regarding this feature (note most manuals doesn't discuss this)

  16. MX Sheet IQR?

Anyone know if MXSheet will talk to the R series CPUs?
  17. prosoft gateway CCLINK

Has anyone used EtherNet/IP to CC-Link Local & Intelligent Station Gateway of prosoft? is there a timeout issue even with a small network of 2 Q CPU and 1 controllogix connected via etherned? I need to read and write data to and from 2 Q CPU and Clx so I am considering this as an option.   editted: not lag but more of timeout issue if there is simultaneous read write from both melsec and clx with 3 DINT words.
  18. Mitsubishi iQ-R Series

Hi Has anyone got any real life experience with the new Mitsubishi iQ-R series?  I have been assigned a major capital project to replace our old ageing DCS system.  Our current PLC backbone is about 40x Q2ASHCPU, 10x Q06UDEHCPU and about 2xA2SCPU all linked up via Melsecnet/10 network with communication links into the DCS system via Modbus RTU utilising the QJ71MB91 modbus card. Due to the nature of my companies process and the limitations on plant downtime it is estimated this project could take up to 5 years to complete, with this in mind I am wanting to install a system that will not be obsolete (or unsupported) in a few years, hence, I am very interested in the new iQ-R series with it being Mitsubishi's latest and greatest.  However, recent communications with my local Mitsi rep is not filling me with confidence that the iQ-R series is not as well supported/developed as the Q series.  A major requirement during the development stages of this project is the new ability of the new processors to be able to talk to the old DCS up until a point where the DCS nodes will be completed removed and replaced with a modern SCADA package.  Hence, the requirement of a Modbus Slave card for the iQ-R (i.e. a QJ71MB91 equivalent) which I am told is in development, but has no fixed timescales.  Previous experience with Mitsubishi developments of cards is normally years not months. Any information anyone can provide on their experience of the iQ-R series would be greatly appreciated and if anyone knows if a Modbus Slave card is in development that would be useful.  I realise i could utilise the Q series extension rack with a iQ-R processor but this is not the route i want to go down. Thanks for any help and apologises for the war and peace. Cheers Matt
  19. Help with CC - Link IE Field

Hi Im working with an iQ-R CPU wich controls 6 conveyors with a CC-Link IE Field Network, the CC-Link module is a RJ71EN71. Each conveyor has a remote I/O (NZ2GF2B1-16TE Digital outputs main module with a NZ2EX2B1-16D extension for Digital Inputs). The communication in the CC - Link IE Field diagnostic appears to be OK, but I can´t send or receive IO signals from the Batch Monitor of Gx Works 3. Thanks for your attention!
  20. In general, this control PLC program is written in GX Works. I did a simple visualization on TIA Portal v14 (WinCC RT Advanced) and I would like to now test it on Mitsubishi FX3U driver with ENET Module. I do not have much experience in this kind of thing, I'm still learning. I know that someone previously made a visualization in LabView and downloaded the tags from the PLC using NI OPC Server. Someone also did visualization in iFix and also downloaded tags through server opc. I do not know just how or what program to download tags in PLC so that I can no longer use it in visualization in TIA Portal. Unfortunately I still have a connection problem. The driver is connected to the router. From the connection options with RT Advanced I chose in the connections tab Mitsubishi and entered the appropriate IP. Still nothing. I do not know if the lack of a connection can be related to a virtual machine (VM Vare Workstation 12) on which I have TIA Portal installed. The driver pings but can not connect. I also tried using KEPServer EX to connect and unfortunately also failed. (I have information about the can not connect). Anyone know what program I should use? or had contact with such a problem? I attach a photo of communication from my station to more visualize the problem. Thanks

  22. Error 6706 Mitsubishi FX2N

Hey guys, I'm really a newbie on PLC's, I'm working with a metal sheet folding machine. The past programmer gave me it's code, but I guess he gave me the wrong one. So, I uploaded the program with GX Developer 8 to a Mitsubishi FX2N-32MR PLC, all looked fine until I tried to run out the program. The error 6706 appeared up on step 3928 (blue rectangle). I read something about it already in other posts. But I'm not quite sure what to do. Can someone point me on the right direction? I attached an image where the problem thst showed up.  Thanks.
  23. I am needing to write an integer to a word based on a contact. It's pretty straight forward but I need to do this for 300 contacts. If F0 turns on I want to write a 0 to W22, if F57 turns on I want to write 57 to W22, etc. I need to do this for F0 through F299 writing the index as integer to W22. I don't need to clear W22, it can have any number in it at any time. My OPC server will be looking at a different bit to determine when it needs to look at W22. I'm trying to find an easier way to do this then having 300 instructions doing a MOVP K* W22 when the contact turns on. If more than one F is on I'm okay with whatever the last F to turn on is stored in W22 (at least for now.) Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  24. Hello all, I have 7 Q series PLCs on a Melsec net/h network, Ladder Programming none of that fancy smancy ST stuff LOL. Were running the QJ71LP21-25. Now to keep it short I have used all most all my devices in my Network Range Assignment. I can not set up low speed range as I do not have enough Link relays and registers at all stations. No memory for more devices just trust that I can not do it... However I have an abundance of File Registers ( no I cant buy B or W in the PLC File params, well I can but it wont help because only one CPU is UDE the rest are H.) I have a project in which I must see about 50 words for each Station at every Station. I figured while I am setting up a Transient Transfer I will make a bunch of extra room for future updates and junk. My answer good or bad, is to set up some Send/Recv commands and do some Transient Transfer. I think I have it just about all figured out just a few questions. I have two manuals I have been getting my info from Q MELSECNET/H Network System Reference Manual ( I think SHNA080049)  and the Melsecnet/h training manual.  1.Any one have any better manuals that better cover transient transfer? Or that are new enough to mention GX Works2 instead of Developer? 2. Is there a max device for each send/recv? (I keep thinking it is 980 per station but no idea where I got this number)( I will increase the max # of transients in the supplementary settings under network range...) 3. Any precautions or advice like, Hey don't do this, I did this once and.... 4. It looks like as long as I use different logical channels for each station I should be able to send and receive multiple "messages" at once with no error?? (I will test this and look for the "no room in receive buffer area f222 error)  5. Will this slow down the Cyclic transfers (I will be watching the SW006D and so on to make sure it does not slow my regular transmission down.) 6. I will be using several special relays and registers in the program of course. Any I should use that are not obvious?
  25. We have L61's and L63's and are looking at upgrading them to the L7 equivalent. Has anyone had any experience of this and any pitfalls to avoid? Tech support have said that there might be issues with the comms cards resolved by updating their firmware. Is the upgrade that simple? We currently use Logix5000 at version 20.01 but are preparing to go to Studio5000 as part of the upgrade.
