  1.   Hi all, Iam currently working with a migration project from Rsview32 to FTView. I was able to convert the RSView32 SCADA to FTView successfully. Current scenario is like RSView32 (which was the existing pcs) SCADA is running in two stand alone PCs and Iam trying to line up the new Factory talk view SCADA in another system.Communication is taken from same ethernet switch to which all ethernet cables from 5PLCs in the field are terminated and from which RSView32 scada has taken itz communication. PLCs used there are 2 No.of  1747 L532E slc 5/03 OS302 Ser c Frn 10 & later and 3 Nos of 1747 L533E slc 5/03 OS302 aer c Frn 10 & later. communication taken via net eni (1761 NetEni) Ftview installed system is Windows 10 pro OS) Issue is while RSView32 scada is working properly, Factory talk view is not getting neither online tags nor able to play display for those linked with L533E processor. But everything is fine with L532E processor. I just tried with downloading L533E program to L532E processor and everything was getting. So am i missing something or what should i do to get proper communication with L533E processor.   plz help..Iam a beginner in this field.
  2. Hi   First post in this forum - hope I'm not duplicating topics..... I've had prior experience with Siemens S7 Tags for I/O allocation - how is it done for the M340/Unity setup please ie how do you assign a physical address (say %I.0.1.5) to an input in the program? I imagine it is somewhere in the 'Configuration' section where I have defined all the modules?? I find the standard help quite hard to follow and find what I'm looking for - anyone have any better documentation. Also I am feeding a quadrature encoder output into a high speed counter module - any tips/examples of suitable program structure to use? Thanks for listening.... Andy

  4. FX3S not responding to HMI.

Hi guys, I am an Electrical engineer on a cruise ship. I have a mixer (galley equipment) that is controlled by a FX1S-10MR PLC. It uses HMI F930GOT-BWD-E. Recently we found the PLC to be malfunctioning and replaced it with a new one from our stock. The new one is FX3S-10MR. Now, when i try to increase or decrease the speed via the HMI, the PLC doesn't respond; infact, the inverter just maintains a single frequency. The PLC is "supposed" to be pre-programmed by the manufacturer of the Mixer. I have very less knowledge of PLCs and sorry if i come across as stupid. I have been reading a bit lately. Do you think it would work if i can copy the program (from the FX1S PLC of another working mixer) by using GX works2 / GX developer software and write it on this new FX3S model ? What will happen if i change the type of PLC of this FX3S model to FX1S (just speculating since it's working find with FX1S). Today i tried to view the program inside this FX3S plc on GX developer and it does have a program. I am clueless though why it's not working with the HMI. Kindly, provide me with some guidance. TIA.
  5. TOTAL FLOW OR TOTALIZER

  6. Hello I have an old test rig (hydraulic cylinder applies pressure to a crank in sawtooth pattern) project written in gx developer for the Q03 plc. To this plc is connected a 1041 beijer panel, I have uploaded the project to E-designer. I am rewriting the sequence code because a new but similar test is prepared. Have a PID-block in gx works 2 (not in a simple project sadly) i would like to import  and use in gx developer. This is causing me some trouble though.  Can anyone tell me how to get the PID-blocks from GX Works 2 to GX Developer? Do you recommend me to upgrade the project to GX Works 2 instead? How will the panel react? I need to reprogram this as well. Cheers // Rolf

  8. Start Ladder Logic Test

Hi, there! I had got GX-Developer Ver.8, which is very different from the plc programs that I have learned before. I have read many tutorials and watch it but I still don't know how to start ladder logic test. Many other people simply click on 'start or end ladder logic test' but mine was greyed. Anyone has solution? Or I just missed a couple steps of simulation? Though it is very basic problem, I will put a deep gratitude for your reply.
  9. version incompatible

I'm supposed to send the software from one machine to the other. The Dwonload but who does not want to open with the CX Programmer: comes version incompatible. But I do not want to pay 700 € for an update I just want a tool that allows me to send this data in the other machine. Weir has an idea or who helps me I pay the service. The machines are in Austria in Saint Pölten.
  10. Highlighted line in GX Developer

Working in GX Developer Version 8.107M, some of the code that I have been working with seems to be hidden.  It appears that the lines turn highlighter yellow, keeping me from viewing code.  I've looked into this and cannot find a solution.  Does anyone know how to expand the code? Thank you.
  11. Convert int to float

I'm trying to read a result from encoder (which in pulse) and convert it to milimeter. To do that, i need to devide it. But here is the problem when i move the result of the encoder read to register (D) then devide it with another register, it doesn't show result in the monitor. It looks like i need to convert it to float first, but i dont know how. My command for the division is DEDIV D17 D40 D22. is there anyway to solve it? Thanks, i really need this. I try to look in the forum but i dont found it. I'm using mitsubishi FX3U-48 MT ESS. I'm new in this forum, if i break a rule, please tell me.

  17. GX Developer commands

Hello everyone! Could someone help me and explain me this block of a ladder diagram I'm working with? I do understand the M800 is always ON contact, for the PLC to not lose the values.  Also I know that the DIV is a division, the FLT is a integer to floating point (thing I don't understand), the DEMUL is a floating point multiplication (thing I also don't understand), the INT is a floating point to 16-bit integer, and the MOV is for moving a value from a data register to an other data register. Help... :(
  18. GX Developer Special Relays

HELLO TO EVERONE!!Could someone please help me find a special relay command (not a real relay) that stays activated when it receives a pulse from a NO contact (X0), and desactivies when it receives a second pulse from the same NO contact (X0)? 21. Hello,I am trying to use ProWORX NXT to view the logic of my Modicon Quantum 534 controller online. When I try to go online with it, it always times out. I am using a TCP/IP connection and my PC is in the same subnet as the controller in question. I can ping the controller's IP address just fine and when I use ProWORX NXT's Net Scan function, it recognizes that there is an Ethernet connection at that IP address but doesn't recognize it as a Modicon controller.Weirdly enough, my PC can connect to another Modicon controller of the same type and in the same subnet just fine. Can anyone help me with this issue?
  22. I am in the learning phase of HMI and PLC programing and am trying to use some of the hardware that has been donated to me. I have an AB panelview 300 micro terminal and a Micrologix 1000 Plc (they are not tethered yet). I have constructed a small test board with everything mounted to it and have successfully written and downloaded a simple project to the plc with timers, etc.   Now I need to find a way to program the terminal to make changes to the program.   I am looking for some free panelbuilder 32 or anything that will allow me to program the terminal and use it.   Can anyone help me? All help will be greatly appreciated!
  23. line true M bit coil not ON

Hello system is Q06UDEH GX developer 8116W Large system 2 PLcs with 60K lines of code between them, SFC ladder,  Issue,      all conditions HIGH, coil not ON or  visa versa  (not all condition ON but coil high) also happen with data comparisons, moves etc. what i have looked at so far,    -batch monitor confirms HIGH/LOW states - programs all scanned (all 35 of them) -no MC control ( some CJ and for NEXT seems unrelated) -force history is clear - not willing to rest CPU as this is a large press and it is running   -widespread condition throughout the code  - only monitor one window at a time Q - is there some monitor setting that I haven't found? over lapping registers Have gone online with original backup just to make sure something didn't happen with the read. No way i'm doing an edit when I cant tell whats going on with this. thanks!
  24. How can I do a hardware 'factory reset' on a Q UDE CPU .... NOT using any software such as GX Developer or Works? I understand in the 'Write to PLC' menu it's possbile to Clear / Format / Arrange PLC memory - this isn't what I'm asking for. Under normal circumstances we routinely reload the PLC code / parameters / intelligent function data all remotely from our offices to our customers facilities and all works well. With the newer Q UDE CPUs it is possible to scan the network and effectively do a remote bare-metal recover to a new CPU. If the Q UDE CPU became unresponsive I would like to know how to reset the CPU back to factory defaults. In this scenario we would be asking local site electricians to carry out this reset procedure - after which we would reload the code remotely from the office. Documentation says power down CPU remove BAT for > 10 mins. I’ve powered down, left in STOP state and removed BAT for 16hours - then tested this morning – IP / program perfect and online immediately without battery connected. This retention is a wonderful feature – but if I want to deliberately do a hardware factory reset how do I do it ?
  25. Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster. I am tasked to make a couple of module specific function blocks for communication between our Mitsubishi PLC (GX IEC Developer 7.04) and a B&R remote IO over Profibus. A number of these blocks would then be used, depending on the RIO setup. Reading should be straight forward, just read X amount of words, starting from address Y. Writing is trickier as Mitsubishi prefers 16/32 bit Data whereas B&R batches Data in bytes! As I have several output modules in the RIO. I need to send my info "chained" together. Example: Module 1: 2 Bytes Module 2: 3 Bytes Module 3: 2 Bytes Totals: 7 bytes or 4 words. Sending the first word is no problem. Neither is the next two words (I will just have 1 empty byte at the end of the third word). But then the info to the third module should start in the middle of the third word. Any idea how I could solve this? Experimental: At the moment the blocks have inputs (bits), which are stored to a bit-array inside the block and then linked to an output. My idea at the moment is to merge all module-wise output bit arrays to one big bit array, converting that to INT and sending it off to the Profibus address. But I have not yet found a way to merge the arrays and shift them so all data is where it should be. Above example: ARRAY [0..15] OF BOOL + ARRAY [0..23] OF BOOL + ARRAY [0..15] OF BOOL Totals: ARRAY [0..63] OF BOOL or [0..71] counting the spare byte. Converted to 8 Words and forwarded through Profibus. Thank you in advance.
