  1. Hi We're having issues with an FX1N-1DA-BD Analog output module. We're using an metallic contamination sensor MCS 1000 to detect particles. This sends pulses for particles detected in a 30 second time window to a Mitsibushi PLC FX1S-10MR-ES/UL which in turn gets converted from a digital value 0-2000 pulses -> analog value 4-20mA and sends the data to our DCS. The range is adjusted so that 4mA represents 0 particles, and 20mA should represent 2000 particles. The problem is that the analog output module never sends an current over 6.42mA. It starts with 4.0mA then maxes out at 6.42mA long before the max range of 2000. We can't find a problem in the program and have also tried the example programs in the manual, but still only get a current of 6.42mA We have also tried 3 different FX1N-1-DA-BD and still get the same results. Manual FX1N-1DA-BD Hoping that someone here might have some experience with these modules Thanks!
  2. STL Instruction

I have a piece of equipment using a Mitsubishi FX1S. I'm trying to understand the flow of the existing program written by other with no labels. I am specifically interested in understanding the STL instructions and associated S coils. I'm looking for some resources that would help me better understand how all this works. I have been reading the FX series programming manual. Is there something better with examples perhaps? Also, I noticed when I go to simulate mode in GX Works 2 there is a section highlighted in yellow. What does this mean? Thank you for your help.
  3. FX1S Programming Software

Hi. I would like to know what programming software that I need to upload the program from FX1S-30MR. I will be using USB-SC09-FX as my cable.   Hope you can help me. Thank you.
  4. Hi every one ! I cannot use register D128 - D255 in the program when I create a program that uses the Block function in the PLC mitsubishi FX1S, it gives an error :  A device of the device range set in the device/label automatic-assign setting or a device which cannot be used due to system reservation is being used.Help me,Thanks !
  5. FX3S not responding to HMI.

Hi guys, I am an Electrical engineer on a cruise ship. I have a mixer (galley equipment) that is controlled by a FX1S-10MR PLC. It uses HMI F930GOT-BWD-E. Recently we found the PLC to be malfunctioning and replaced it with a new one from our stock. The new one is FX3S-10MR. Now, when i try to increase or decrease the speed via the HMI, the PLC doesn't respond; infact, the inverter just maintains a single frequency. The PLC is "supposed" to be pre-programmed by the manufacturer of the Mixer. I have very less knowledge of PLCs and sorry if i come across as stupid. I have been reading a bit lately. Do you think it would work if i can copy the program (from the FX1S PLC of another working mixer) by using GX works2 / GX developer software and write it on this new FX3S model ? What will happen if i change the type of PLC of this FX3S model to FX1S (just speculating since it's working find with FX1S). Today i tried to view the program inside this FX3S plc on GX developer and it does have a program. I am clueless though why it's not working with the HMI. Kindly, provide me with some guidance. TIA.
  6. Kinco HMI With Mitsubishi FX1S PLC

I am trying to connect a Kinco HMI (T070) with the PLC of Mitsubishi (fx1s) but I want to know how can I add PLC tags to HMI Buttons (when I will touch on button on HMI, PLC switch X0 should be energized)? http://tiaportal.weebly.com
  7. I have a problem when trying to download a program from a FX1S-30MT PLC. I am using a SC-09 USB cable. The software i am using is GX Developer 8. When trying to download the MAIN program the screen in the attachment appears. I tested the download from another PLC of same model and have no problems, therefore the cable is ok, and the laptop is ok. When downloading of the parameters and comments does not give error, just when trying to download MAIN. Also I tested connection with Test Connection button and says communication is ok. Anyone who can help? I have a doubt, how can i see the communication parameters on the PLC side? Thanks a lot
  8. Hello All! Long time engineer first time programmer. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have an automated Beer bottle rinser, filler, and capper that I need help diagnosing a problem. We purchased the machine in July and it ran great until a couple weeks ago when it doesn't seen to be reacting to bottles being present anymore. FX1s-30MR Here are the symptoms: When a bottle is run around the filling carousel, there is a prox sensor to detect it's presence (X007). There is also a sensor under the machine on the gears to detect timing (X006) When a bottle is detecting there is a slight delay, then the pneumatic valve for the purge fires (Y001), followed by the valve to fill the bottle with beer (Y002). Even though, the LED light on both the sensor and the I/O illuminate confirming that it is receiving the the input signal from that sensor, no output signals are being sent. My first instinct was to check all electrical connections and swap out the prox sensor just to be safe, but still no dice.... So I purchased a USB-RS422 FX cable and downloaded the demo of GX Works 2 to better try to pin point the issue. Using the monitor function on GX works 2 I can again confirm that the PLC is receiving the correct signal from X007 when a bottle is present, however the outputs Y001 and Y002 have a constant value of 0... Unfortunately this program is not simple enough for me to really understand, so maybe someone can make more sense of it than me. (see attached). Also, Not sure if its related, but when I ran the check program there is a double coil error revolving around the Beer inlet solenoid. This is to let beer into the filler bowl, not the bottle. oh and the manufacturer won't be able to help for a couple weeks when they can send a technician... Any thoughts, comments, or questions are appreciated. Cheers, Eric screenshot2.bmp screenshot1.bmp
